Pudding

Chapter one hundred twelve: "Pudding"

"And here we could add flowers not just at the sides.." Laura our events coordinator stopped when she saw me yawn by accident

The wedding is only a few months away and Cloud is a bit busy with his studies in Alberta, a month passed after he proposed to me. I'm in his penthouse at dusk after teaching little kids in school
We're having a long-distance relationship at the moment and I could understand even if he just proposed

The look on his face when he has to go back and study made me want to giggle a bit

"Maybe we could stop the planning here, you look tired" she spoke with concern then grabbed the remote at the table beside her to turn off the TV

I shook my head "No it's fine, I just need to grab a snack" my legs felt strained after sitting a long time as I walk straight to the refrigerator door to grab a pudding

Laura looked at me with a raised brow "Uh um, Ms. Penelope"

I dip the spoon in the pudding and stuff it in my mouth "Hm?"

"That's your 8th pudding while we started planning"

My confusion took over me, my head tilted a bit and I thought for a moment "I think it's been a few hours"

Her face showed that she is concerned "But it's only been 1 and a half hours since we started"
That's odd

"And so I now proclaimed myself as gay!" Tia exclaimed cheerfully at the dinner table with her arms up in the air

Romeo chuckled as he cleaned her small mouth with a tissue "Are you sure you're gay sweetie?"
Thankfully he didn't seem concerned about it

She shrugged at him "I don't know, my classmate has two mom's and they're girls. He told me they're gay so if they're girls then they're gay, so I'm gay!"

Juliet almost spits out the food in her mouth after hearing her daughter explain how she managed to think she was gay. I rolled my eyes with a smile on my face while my sisters laughed at her

After eating some mashed potatoes, Ella came into the room with a basket full of oranges

"Where the hell did you get so many oranges?" Cara asked her as she eyes the huge amount of the fruit in the basket
That looks heavy to carry

Ella wiped off her sweat and took a breather "I helped out at a farm during my field trip and they gave us oranges, there were too many of them so they gave a lot to us" she started handing out the oranges to everyone at the dinner table

Mom took a bite after peeling the orange "It's sweet, I like it"

"I know right?!" Adeline chimed happily as she threw another one in her mouth
I guess this is our dessert

My hand grabbed an orange and peeled it, once it reached my mouth there was something odd about the taste

I spat the orange immediately causing everybody to look at me

"What's wrong?" Ella asked as she hurriedly walk up to me

"The orange tasted metallic" I complained as I crinkle my nose in disgust
Never have I tasted something so weird, I was sure the scent was sweet so must be the taste

Dad opened his hand out to me over the table "Give it to me kiddo" I handed him the orange and let him grab a piece to taste it

"Nothing wrong with it, it's sweet like other oranges here"
