Chapter seventy-seven: "Tears Of Excitement"

Weeks have passed right after Cloud had recovered from his fever, 2 months have passed I think. December arrived and everybody was pitting up Christmas decorations around the girl's dorm building

Cloud was busy with his schedule since he and his group would have a big presentation and we haven't spent time together for a whole week, I do call him but I didn't want to disturb so I would only call occasionally

While I was focused on hanging up the garland on the wall my phone rang in my pocket

"I'll answer it," Cheryl said before reaching into my pocket and checking the caller ID "It's your cousin Juliet"

"Put it on speaker mode for me please" I spoke with the majority of my focus was balancing myself on the chair so I won't fall down. Cheryl nodded and answered the call

"Hey, Penelope!" Juliet's voice was extremely chirpy this early in the morning

"So what is this big news you want to say? All I know is that I'm always the first person you would run to if there ever was big news" I sighed in relief right after fixing the garland in place with tape

"IT IS BIG NEWS!!" she squealed in delight

"And that is?"

"I'M PREGNANT!" she yelled before screaming with happiness

My eyes widened and I almost lost my footing while standing on the chair if it wasn't for another girl that helped me who was from our neighboring dorm. The phone was on speaker mode so every girl in the hallway of the dorm building started to smile for Juliet who was still squealing for joy over the phone call

A huge grin appeared on my face "Congrats!"
My cousin is gonna become a mother

I wonder how the others react to this news

Another girl helped me get down from the chair I bend down to carry the box full of Christmas balls. The speaker from one of the dorm rooms was on full volume playing Christmas songs for the entire hallway to listen to while decorating

I put the phone near my ear as I step out into the snow while putting my beanie hat on this "Time flies by so fast, you're gonna become a mother Juliet" I chuckled

"Yeah" she giggled "I haven't told this to anyone in the family yet other than you" Juliet honestly said

There was a bench near me so I sat and continued talking with my cousin "So how many weeks is it before you found out?"

She made a humming sound before saying "It was 3 weeks before I knew I was pregnant, Romeo kept pointing out that I'm eating double than what I ate before and I had morning sickness a few times"

"Go on, I'm listening" I was really listening since I have never seen so much joy in my cousin other than beating cancer and her wedding, it is only better if you let her enjoy the moment

"Since of course my husband is a nurse, he was concerned so he took me to the doctor and that's where we found out, and let me tell you HE CRIED" she cackled out loud like a witch which made me laugh

I wipe a small tear at the corner of my eye "Is it tears of joy or shock?"

"It's more of tears of excitement with joy combined"
That's gotta be the best view Juliet has witnessed

"So where are you now?"

There was a sound of something like sitting on a couch before she could answer me back "I'm at our home, he wouldn't let me go out even though I begged him with puppy eyes" she grumbled
