Anniversary

Chapter twenty-two: "Anniversary"

I hid my gift under my coat as I set it down on the couch "Who was that?" I asked

"Just something for tomorrow" he answered and embraced me "Our 1st anniversary, time flies so fast it seems like only yesterday I offered you about our deal" he chuckled

"You did take advantage of me being slow in academics" I teased him as I pulled away from our hug and headed to his bedroom to change my clothes

He followed me to the bedroom and I removed my clothes and opened one of the drawers where all of my clothes are located
It's very manageable that I have clothes in his drawer

At my peripheral vision, I could see him leaning at the doorway watching me change "Are you just gonna watch me change?" I laughed then glance at him while wearing my shorts and his oversized sweater
I love wearing his clothes because it has his scent on it

He smirked "Don't mind me, I'm just enjoying the view"

I scoffed then threw my clothes at him "At least ask how my day was, so how's your group project coming along?" I asked while putting my hair up in a ponytail

Cloud groaned "I can't believe I'm even grouped with those people, I hate group projects I would rather do everything on my own"

I giggled before giving him a worried look "I heard from Will that you called him before me, I guess you knew what was going on huh?"

"It can't be helped, every relationship would go through obstacles and one day our relationship would experience it too"

I dread imagining having a big fight with Cloud but a relationship without a fight is questionable in itself

There was a smudge of powder on his cheek and I grinned while walking up to him "You missed a spot" I wiped the powder with the pad of my thumb

He chuckled "I almost forgot about that" Cloud gave out his hand for me "Let's eat dinner and watch a movie shall we?"

We both smiled at each other before I took his hand and he led me to the dining area

It was the next day and we watched a movie until late at midnight, I woke up early to find that Cloud was still sound asleep beside me. I kissed his cheek before sitting up and getting off on the bed to make breakfast

I made toast, fried eggs, pancakes, sausages, bacon, etc. I cooked a lot for breakfast since we have a big day ahead of us

Silently I tiptoed my way back to the bedroom with my gift hiding behind my back and I sat down beside sleeping Cloud who was snoring softly, I decided to play a little joke on him so I got a feather from one of the pillows and I gently tickle his back because he was sleeping shirtless

He shuffle around on the bed multiple times before his eyes shot up out of frustration, Cloud scratches his back then his hair "Where is that feather?" He grumbled before his eyes froze to me waving the feather in front of his face

"Happy 1st Anniversary Cloud" I greeted him as I held his hand

Cloud was trying to process things before he remembered "Oh right! Happy 1st Anniversary Angel! Sorry I was a bit sleepy" He happily greeted me back with a raspy voice

"It's fine, I did wake you up after all" I replied before giving him my gift

His forest green eyes brightened when he saw the small black box with gold ribbon on my hand
