Chapter ninety-two: "Forever"

I hugged Cloud tighter "No, you deserve better"
He keeps trying his best but everything just turned out the opposite for him

We looked at each other and I saw his tired and red eyes from all the crying. He cried even more like he couldn't stop it any more than he could

"I really love you, Angel. I won't get mad if you leave me right now, I'm a mess" his voice sounded so drunk but it puts a smile on my face. My hand gently lifted his chin so I could kiss him tenderly

"How about you count to 20?" I suggested to him before helping him sit up in front of me by the fireplace

He looks at me confused but listened anyway

"Close your eyes and count to 20. If I'm still here then you have your answer"
I know what I suggest sounds stupid enough but if that's what it takes to make my drunk boyfriend stop crying then I'll do it

Drunk Cloud listened and closed his eyes. Slowly he counted up to 20

He was already at 15 then asked "Angel are you still there?...Angel?"

I kept silent in front of him but maybe that was wrong because a tear fell from his eye while it was closed "She left me"
God, it's so hard when you have a drunk boyfriend who cries. Makes me wanna just cuddle him and shower him with kisses

Whatever it was, he still listened to me obediently and finished counting up to 20 before opening his eyes. He has a smile full of relief when he saw me still sitting in front of him

Cloud was extremely drunk that he jumped at me from happiness like a golden retriever "I thought you left"

"There, now you have your answer. I won't leave you"
Not that I would because I love this drunk man in front of me

I pulled Cloud's hand where the new matching ring was located and I showed him the ring he gave to me "Till death do us part?"

He shook his head and intertwined our pinkies "Not even death could separate us, if one of us goes we wait until we can go to the afterlife or whatever" he mumbled while his innocent forest green eyes now glued at our rings

The silver rings shined because of the warm light coming from the fireplace

I held his hand fully and intertwined our fingers "We stay together like this"

"Forever?" Cloud asked me like an excited little kid that his eyes sparkled and I chuckled
Yep, I love this man

"Forever it is"

He bit his bottom lip from happiness "That's good, better actually. I'm very happy" his cute reddish face formed a grin
Now that I took care of his small worries, I should take care of his clothes, or else he might get sick

"Now that my Cloud is happy, I'm even happier if he listens to me that maybe he should take a warm bath and I'll help you change your clothes"

He pouted "I'm too lazy right now" his head now rested on my shoulder giving me puppy eyes in the process

"Fine, then I'll be sad" I put on a fake sullen face in front of him and his cute drunk self is starting to panic

He stood up and removed his shirt in a hurry. I laughed at his rush, so I stood up and lead him to the master's bedroom where the master's bathroom was located. Thankfully, Cloud has some of his clothes in here that he can change into after taking a bath

I walked into the bathroom and turned on the faucet to fill the tub with warm water. The strong presence behind me told me that Cloud tailed me into the bathroom
