Iced Coffee

Chapter seventy-six: "Iced Coffee"

It was 1 AM and Cloud was sound asleep beside me. I did try to sleep with him but I drank too much iced coffee in the fridge that I didn't feel too tired at all
I went too overboard but the iced coffee was sweet so couldn't control myself

Cloud fell asleep first by 10:32 PM while I stayed awake for the entire night
I'm gonna look like a stupid raccoon by daylight if I don't sleep

The only good part about being awake is that I could check on Cloud's health. One of my hands checked the temperature on his forehead
Thank God his fever went down

Being on the phone is boring so I slid out of ny side of the bed to reach my laptop that was sitting on top of his study desk. I carefully sat beside sleeping Cloud on the bed and plugged my earphones into the laptop that was now placed on my lap

I leaned my back on the headboard and searched the folder that was named "The Four Idiots". Clicking the mouse to open the folder and there I saw a lot of photos of Jane, Alice, Will, and Cloud in their after-drunk state

The struggle was real, if the struggle was not to laugh while your boyfriend is sound asleep beside you and any major movement could startle him awake

All four of them looked incredibly stupid in their after-drunk state. There is a video here where I threw one of my shoes to wake up Cloud who was asleep on the roof in a starfish position, the shoe hit his stomach and he woke up due to the pain

When he sat up, the camera caught him with drool on one side of his mouth when I zoomed in

Hold yourself Penelope, your poor sick boyfriend is sleeping beside you. Laughing is out of the question

BUT GODDAMN I WANTED TO LAUGH

Right now I'm on the bed while looking like I'm losing my breath but in reality, I'm just trying to suppress the laughter building up inside me. No sound came out of my mouth but my body was shaking and unfortunately woke Cloud up

His sleepy eyes met mine "Angel?"

I raked my fingers through his hair to make him fall asleep again "It's nothing go back to sleep"

His brows furrowed "Why aren't you asleep?"

"I drank too much iced coffee that was in the fridge" I sighed in defeat

Cloud opened his arms "Come here". A small smile formed on my lips before closing the laptop and setting it on top of the nightstand beside me

His hand guided me to be close to him as we snuggle closely together that I'm not even sure that there is even a gap between us
This felt familliar

Me head bend back a little to look up at his handsome face
Now I remember, this was our situation before. I was sleeping while Cloud was awake

The memory of our first night sleeping together just appeared in my brain

"Try closing your eyes not look at me" Cloud chuckled when he opened his eyes to find me gazing at him
He is too good-looking that I could look at him all day and not get tired

"Mhm" I hummed before I closed my eyes and did the best that I could to try and doze off
But my body has other plans

I mouthed "Fuck" to myself in annoyance
Let's try this again

5 hours... That's not a bad length of sleeping hours but that was the shortest for me
Although I am getting used to it as a college student
