Slap

Chapter forty-eight: "Slap"

He smiled a little at me "I want you to sit beside me while I explain"

I scoffed "Geez, even in a situation like this you are so demanding"
No matter how cold the air is between us every time a simple fight starts, Cloud manages to find a way to close the gap to make sure I won't be far from him

My head turn to face the door "I should lock that, I don't want anybody in the house barging in while we talk" I explained before walking up to the door and pressing the lock at the doorknob

I sighed
Should I listen to him?

When I turned my body around I found Cloud patting the seat beside him on the bed with the blanket wrapped around him like a comfortable cocoon, slowly I took small steps and silently sat beside him with my hand rested on my lap as I looked away not sure if looking at him was right

Cloud gently held my hand that was resting on my lap and he pulled it closer to his chest then started fiddling it with contempt "I...I'm sorry, no words could explain what I did"

I guess maybe I'm right
My fingers pulled my short strand of hair behind my ear because it fell in front of my face "So...were you cheating on me?"

Cloud's eyes widened in shock and he leaned back "WHAT THE FUCK?!" he practically yelled that I covered his mouth with my hand immediately to shush him

"Did you guys hear that?" Wendy asked everybody from downstairs

"It sounded like a yell?" Mom quizzically answered her question

"Maybe it's from the neighbors, you know how they are" Adeline suggested and everybody just shrugged it off which made me relieved

His yell made me panic that once everything has calmed down I observed the position we are in, I was leaning forward so close to Cloud that he practically has his back fully laid on my bed if it wasn't for the arm that he used for support

Cloud smirked and took full advantage of the situation by laying his back on the bed and having his hands firmly holding both of my hips when I was laying on top of him, my arms were now my support since now I'm on top of Cloud

"Cloud this is a ridiculous position of you wanting to explain yourself to me"
It truly was a ridiculous position, most of the scenes in all the books and movies I've watched consist of the couples talking it out, none of them were like this

In a sense, this position made my face warm. The night was cold and the silence between us was no longer awkward, the breeze made the curtains flow along while my dimly lighted bedroom made it comfortable for the both of us

His hand crept up to cup one side of my face then gently caress my cheek using the pad of his thumb "I want you like this"

I raised a brow and tilted my head "Like what?"

"Being so close to me, I wasn't cheating on you, Angel. To be honest, the person you saw in the paparazzi photo was my cousin, Lilia"

Lilia? So all this time I was being angry at a picture of Cloud with his cousin

The realization sets in and I found myself embarrassed that I have to cover my face in front of Cloud as I rested my head on his chest
All this time I was jealous of his cousin? what kind of girlfriend thinks like that?!

Cloud chuckled at me which made his chest go up and down as he pats my head gently "Lilia is a model like me who is very famous in Paris, Now you know?"

With my hands still covering my face, I nodded at him

He kissed my forehead "I never meant to make you think that I was cheating on you"
