Chapter eighty-two: "Presents"

Fast forward to a few weeks later, Christmas will start in 2 days

My present for Benj is already finished Cloud was impressed at what I could do with my weird idea but it worked so all turned out well

"Are the presents in the trunk?" I asked Cloud while packing my clothes in my dorm room with Cheryl who was busy packing her clothes

Cloud nodded "Yeah but the problem is that because there are too many presents, I have to stuff some of them in the backseat"
With Cloud's car that is big, you would expect that all the presents would fit in the trunk

"That'll be fine" I hurriedly finish packing my things and then closed the luggage

I glanced at Cheryl who was wrapping a box that was filled with chocolates and treats. She said that in her country it's called a 'Balik Bayan' box

She then continued to explain that it is something like transportation of gifts from any country to the Philippines so they could reach their relatives

Once she shipped this box, it would take a few weeks to reach her relatives in the Philippines. Cheryl has her main family here in Canada so the box is just a gift to her extended family

It was not only one box, but they're also were 5 of them and we're extremely high and heavy

Cloud, Paul, and I, helped Cheryl bring the boxes downstairs to put them in Paul's car

"Babe, are you sure you're not going back to the Philippines? These things are so heavy" Paul groaned as he carried a box with all his might

Cheryl could only give her boyfriend a sheepish grin "The one you are carrying has a new vacuum in it, Cloud's holding the one with the brand new rice cooker with chips and chocolates"

I gently set the box down "And what are the things that I carried then?"
I thought I was the one carrying the chocolates which is why I was extra carefull

She chuckled "Girl, you're carrying clothes, new clothes to be exact for my cousins and other elders in the family"
Gosh darn, I was careful for nothing

No wonder I felt like mine wasn't that heavy, to begin with, other than the boys who were complaining about how heavy the boxes were

Cloud managed to put the box in the car and joked "You might as well ship them a new house while you're at it"

Cheryl rolled her eyes at him "If you love your family, you too would go to great lengths to give them a great experience of getting nice gifts for Christmas" before getting another box in the dorm to bring down

"Well not to brag but I too have gifts," Cloud said loudly at Cheryl who was already entering back into the building

Chris came to help and before we knew it, we were now at the airport with Chris and his boyfriend going to New Brunswick to visit Chris' family for Christmas. Cheryl and Paul would head to British Columbia to visit Cheryl's family

Both Paul and Cheryl agreed that right after visiting her family, they would both go to England to visit Paul's family
Looks like their Christmas break would be very busy

"See you guys after New Year" I waved goodbye to them

Chris patted my back before holding hands with Jonathan "See you later Pen"

We all parted ways to reach our different airline routes. Cloud led me to his family's private jet with all the gifts were handled by the baggage handler to loaded into the jet
