Chapter eighty-six: "Cinnabuns"

"Merry Christmas!!" we heard Vivi loudly greet us while exciting her family's car. Jeremiah was helping Uncle Cashew bring in their exchange gifts in the house while Aunt Holly had a newborn baby in her arms

She cradled the baby gently when the baby was starting to cry

Cloud looks so excited to look at the baby that he walked up to Aunt Holly to take a look at my new cousin over her shoulder. His curious eyes lit up when the baby started to smile up at him

Aunt Holly and Uncle Cashew chuckled at Cloud who has his pinky finger being held tight by the baby like it didn't wanna let go
Cloud loves kids just as much as I do, especially babies

"Do you wanna carry him?" Aunt Holly held up her baby to Cloud

Cloud's arms were ready to reach to hold the baby but stopped midway "Can I?"

She nodded and handed him the baby, Cloud had the biggest grin on his face because the baby is still staring at him with big eyes "Hello little dude"

He slowly walked up to me with the baby carefully tucked in his arms "Look Angel, he's smiling at me" Cloud showed the baby's face to me and it started smiling again but this time at me

"And he's smiling at you" he added which made me grin

I turned my head in Aunt Holly's direction "What's his name?"

She puts down a baby stroller before looking at us "his name is Mike"

Soon, all of my curious sisters started gathering to look at Mike with Caramia being the last one to arrive since she was in charge of putting the gifts under the Christmas tree

Mike was overwhelmed by all the exciting eyes staring at him that he started to cry, Cloud then cradled him like what Aunt Holly did

"Calm down little dude, all the ladies are staring at you" he chuckled before letting Adeline hold the baby's hand

Mom ran up to us after throwing the snow shovel somewhere and taking the baby in Cloud's arms "Holly I'm gonna steal your baby for a moment!" she said before hurrying and carefully reaching Dad who was at the porch talking to one of our uncles

Cloud made a small pout and tried to hide it, none of my sisters saw it because they ran after Mon so they can play with the baby

My hand reached out to squeeze one side of his cheeks "Don't be disappointed, it's not really your baby anyway" I giggled

He puffed out his cheeks "Disappointed? Me? Disappointed?" his index finger pointing at him
That's not gonna fool me

"You made the saddest expression when the baby was taken from your arms" I laughed a little before going on the tips of my toes to kiss him on the cheek. There I felt my lips touch his cool and soft skin on the face "Why don't we enter the house and just wait for them to finish playing with the baby? Hm?"
I try to lighten up his mood and it did work thankfully

Cloud nodded with a small pout as he let me drag him back into the house so we can warm ourselves up before our Christmas Party starts

"Alright and this gift goes to...Penelope! Honey this is yours" Mamita Daphne handed me my exchange gift with a huge grin on her face
So it was her that got my name in the hat. I always thought that Vince, one of my guy cousins, got my name since ge kept pestering me about what I like

Turns out he was tasked by Mamita Daphne to find out

I jumped up from my seat and accepted the gift from her hands before kissing her on the cheek "Thanks Mamita"
