Chapter twenty-six: "Palace"

"Can I go back to the dorm right now?" I groaned to all of them as my body was slumped on the chair in a shopping mall

Alice, Daisy, and Cheryl all decided to team up and help me find a dress for the dinner date with Cloud for tonight
I have a perfectly good evening dress back in my closet

"Cheryl, why do I need a new dress? I'm wasting money here if I buy a new dress!" I am speaking the truth though

Being broke is no joke since I used all my savings on the watch as a gift but thankfully I have backup savings to buy food
My wallet is going to die at this point

All three crossed their arms "We're buying you the most sexiest evening clothes in this place"

"And why the hell would I need sexy clothes for?" I raised a brow at them with half-closed eyes with a tilted head
This better not be their dirty-minded plan right now

Alice smirked at me then turned to Cheryl and Daisy "You guys find her a dress, I'm going somewhere first" she gave Daisy a look before Cheryl pulled me deeper into the evening dress section

Where on earth is Alice going?

I tried on multiple dresses and I was already tired when they made me wear the 4th dress, it was a hassle for short

In the end, I chose something that at least should belong to protect my legs from the cold weather today. The dress was a black off-shoulder with a length that reached passed my ankles "My marks haven't faded a lot but I guess a little makeup should cover it up" I whisper to myself

We met up with Alice in the food court after we purchased the dress, she has a paper bag and was eating already. When we all sat down, she slid the paperbag to me on the table "Wear this under the dress"

Alice didn't give me eye contact while saying it to me because her eyes are glued to the food in front of her, I tried to open the paperbag but she puts her hand over mine "Don't open it here"

After shopping, we decided to visit Cloud to finish his classes so we went to his university so he can meet Daisy and Alice. This was my first time visiting Cloud's university because he is usually the one who comes to fetch me all the time which never gave me a chance to visit him

The last class we were supposed to have today got canceled and there were no substitutes to cover for our professor

All three of us stood in front of the university entrance gates and have our jaws dropped by the buildings
The buildings were unlike my university which is modern and new, his university is almost like Hogwarts because it looks like a castle HOLY FUCK!

Quite a lot of people who studied here who passed by me gave me strange and curious looks

There was a girl leaving and I asked her politely "Excuse me do you know building A around here?"

She squinted her eyes at me and smirked "Sure! It's over there behind the fountain and the ancestral statue on the left side" she pointed in the direction

I faced the direction she was pointing "Thanks! What's your name by the way?"

"It's Ivy, see you Penelope" she waved goodbye to me before going out of the gates

I think there was some hidden intention in her directions at me, her eyes were pretending to hide her hostility towards me and my 3 friends were not fooled by her act of kindness

Daisy glared at Ivy's back as she disappeared around the building corner "Don't listen to her directions, I feel like she gave you the wrong directions"
