Chapter seventy: "Party"

Once I entered Ken's home, I was almost hit by a flying whipped cream that came from the kitchen
What the-

Another flying whipped cream came in my direction that I luckily dodged. The entire place has different lights like it was a club and I lost Cloud among the crowd

I have never been to a club before but I am familiar with how parties like this can get wild, people being social with one another and sometimes becoming too intimate in a place like this. I can only leave the sight to the imagination because the scene before me is not even age-appropriate

With so many people and the entire house being crowded, it didn't give me the chance to find the others

All of a sudden I felt someone hold my waist and I thought it was Cloud until I saw that it was Roderick, the biggest pervert on the campus. His eyes widened once he saw that it was me he was inappropriately touching

Last time I was the one who kicked him out of the girl's dorm building because he was returning underwear that he stole from a girl's window

"Oh shit, Penelope"

I cracked my knuckles "Roderick, get your fucking hands off of me" I angrily said through gritted teeth
I beat him up before and I won't hesitate to do it again

He hurriedly remove his hand from my waist and apologized to me "Sorry I thought you were another girl"

I glared at him and gave him a deadpan face "So if it wasn't me then you would harass that girl? Is this a sexual harassment confession?"
God knows what this pervert would do to another girl who doesn't know how to defend themselves

Without giving him any sign, I immediately punched him square in the nose and everybody surrounding us started to stare curiously at what is going on

Ken dashed through the crowd to reach me in time "Did something happen?" he asked then glanced at Roderick who has a bloodied nose

I crossed my arms and tilted my head to Roderick's direction "I didn't expect this costume party has a pervert"

"Oh my God, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!" Ken yelled at Roderick and everybody started pushing him out until he was on the pavement

Ken sincerely apologized to me for what happened and I could only smile that no other girl was a victim of his pervertedness right now at the party

Before I could ask Ken about Cloud's whereabouts the lights in Ken's house went out
What's going on?

There in the pitch-black darkness is a small light coming from candles

"Happy Birthday To Youuuu!" Wallace yelled which echoed throughout the entire house before everybody started singing happy birthday to me. The candles were on a beautifully designed cake that was being held by Cloud as he walks up to me with a grin on his face

So all this time I was invited to my own birthday party

I was smiling ear to ear when Cloud stopped in front of me with the cake "Happy Birthday Angel!"

"Hurry up bitch, make a wish!!"
I knew that voice...wait was that from Yara?

I closed my eyes and clasped my hands together
I wish to have this happiness last until we turn gray and old

That was my wish, it was the only wish that I wanted to come true regardless of how simple it was. Nothing can make me happier than where I am now but it will hopefully become better in the future
