Tears erupt down my cheek. I can't believe some guys can be so disgusting. I don't know what to do. I've never felt like this. I just want to sit here and bawl my eyes out.
My heart starts pounding at the heavy footsteps on the concrete. What if the guy comes back?
I try to stand, but I fail. My knees are weak, just like my self esteem.
I take a deep breath and search my bag for my phone. I unlock it and quickly find someone's phone number. I click on his name, and it starts ringing. My breath now becomes haggard. It's like I can't breathe. "Hello?" He husky voice says. He had to have been asleep. I must have woken him up. I stay quiet. Words can't seem to find their way out of my vocal cords.
"(Y/N), what's wrong? Where are you?" He says more awaken.
"Austin I need you.." I whisper. "Please?"
I explain where I am the best I could even if I don't know exactly where though. All I did was run from a man as far as I could as fast as I could until I couldn't run anymore. I've never been in such a terrifying position. I close my eyes when I hear footsteps turn down the empty alley I'm on. I clutch my phone to my chest and shake, trying to hide as far back behind the trash that I can. I cover my mouth with my hand to keep myself from making any noise. I can't go through this again. I just can't.
A presence comes closer and closer. I heart feels like it might explode.
"(Y/N)," a male voice says and peels my hand away from my face. I blink through the water in my tear ducts. Suddenly my body has enough energy to launch me forward into Austin's arms. As soon as his chest hits my face, I cry like there's no tomorrow. He whispers things, but I don't understand anything. I can't comprehend anything right now. I just need Austin.
His strong arms pull me into him and he stands, carrying me away. He walks down the street in silence. We turn a corner and I squint my eyes, noticing AC's car waiting. I feel warmth inside my chest. I'm safe now.
Alex opens the door and Austin crawls in carefully with me still in his arms. I pull myself up in his lap and hold my arms around his neck. He snakes his arms around my waist with just enough pressure for me to know he's there.
"Is she okay?" Alex asks him.
Austin mumbles "I'm not sure yet," and reaches over me for a spare jacket. In all this time I hadn't even noticed my body was numb and freezing. I guess almost being raped takes that effect on you. I hear the engine of the car start up and the sound of the tires taking off. Rain falls down the cars windows, making the night outside seems like a big smug. I stare blankly at all the lights as we pass them. Austin leans his head down a little and kisses my forehead.
"Are you okay?" He whispers.
"I'm b-better now," I stutter, still trying to get myself back alive.
"Did he hurt you?"
I shake my head no, but i know I'm lying. The guy didn't physically hurt me, but I'm completely torn up inside.
"Thank you for coming to my rescue," I say, looking up. Austin eyes are filled with some sort of pain. Maybe I shouldn't have called him. Maybe I should have just called the cops. He then blinks and a new mood washes over him.
"That's what I'm here for. I'll always be your savior baby. I just wish I could have got there sooner. I swear I would have kicked the living shit out of-"
I stop him. "It wasn't your worry. I'm okay now. That's all that matters."
Austin opens his lips to argue but I shake my head. "Fine, we'll talk about this tomorrow. Tonight I'm just thankful you're safe."
He leans down again and pecks my lips before wrapping me tight in his arms. Austin's something special. He really is my savior.
