The night air can make anyone feel alive. I don't know what it is about it, but it just boosts our energy and makes us do crazy, idiotic things. It's not like we control them, well I guess we could, but most of us feed on the adrenaline pumping in our veins.

"This way," Austin whispers in my ear, taking my hand and leading me through hundreds of sweaty bodies. I smile at the men that try to hit on me along the way. Something about that never gets old. One completely wasted guy slaps my ass and I can't help but let a devious laugh come up my throat and out into the the air. Sometimes I consider myself as such a horrid human being.

We stop walking once we reach the bar. Austin orders us shots and we down them within seconds. Before I know it, I'm taking pure vodka to my tongue.

"Let's dance!" I yell in Austin's ear. He sets his drink down and we head out to the dance floor. I feel his hand rest just perfectly on my hip and for the first time since our breakup, I feel excitement or maybe just lust strike through my veins. I can't feel this, can I?
