229. Fresh & Clean: Write about how you feel after you take a shower.
This is one of my favorite feelings in the world, and for once, I lack words to capture it. Perhaps that's why it's one of my favorite feelings. Perhaps to my word-loving soul, the mystique of not understanding something makes it fascinatingly lovely.
The feeling of being clean... Somehow clean was never something physical to me. Clean was this freshness in you, that you couldn't exactly explain the effects, but only the cause. Clean was a state of mind and a way of life. Clean was wholesome. Clean was peace.
When I think of clean, I see freshly laundered sheets and gleaming marble countertops. I see crisp packaging and frequent visits to The Container Store. I see everything in its place and a color-coded schedule.
Clean means light, it means open, and it means grace. I see a simple life, uncluttered by unnecessary things. I see a minimalist approach. I see smiles unfettered by secrets and someone that's free.
I don't know what the feeling is in words. I only know the effects and the cause.
