328. The Windows of the Soul: Write a poem about the story that is told through someone's eyes.

Within the eyes of a boy like me
So deep, so clear, so crystal clean
Eyes the color of a pale green
Like spring's newly budded pea,
There is a story there that I see
Upon which richness my soul does feed
And is never satisfied, though I eat
With eagerness bordering on gluttony.
His gentle look does me lead
To a place of only hopeful seeds
And no tampering done by weeds.
There he worshipped on bended knee
One who went and did willingly bleed
His written word into holy creed
And though in love He did the deed
Yet still unfairness did He reap,
And our sins did, with all speed,
Settle upon the shoulders of He
That died and set us captives free

This did I see
And more besides
In the windows
Of his eyes
