After all the crying Peter had asked if he could go on patrol, he needed some time before he had to see the rest of the team.

Tony of course had been reluctant to let him go, he had just learnt his son had been tortured he was planning on never letting him go anywhere ever again, but after Peter explained that he needed time Tony said he understood.

Peter wasn't sure that he did understand.

It wasn't his place to argue though.

That's how Peter found him self sitting on the edge of some office building with his arms rested on his legs and his chin resting on his arms, staring out into the city.

He knew that when he went back they would have questions, of course they would have questions. He would've had questions too.

He just needed a minute, just one.

Or maybe he needed two or three or maybe he needed a thousand and maybe even more then that, he wasn't quite sure.

So he sat, waiting on top of a building that was high enough that no one would bother him but not too high that he couldn't see what was happening below.

Waiting for what, he didn't know. He might never know.

"You're not going to jump are you?" A voice said from behind Peter causing him to jump slightly.

Peter turned to face the voice, not overly alarmed since his Peter-Tingle was suspiciously quiet.

Once he was fully facing the person, he saw that he was also in a full body suit, similar to his but not the same. It was red with black around the eyes, Peter made a note of the katanas on his back and pistols at his side.

"Because it's going to be hard explain to the police that I didn't push you and New York's favourite crime fighter did in fact jump to his death." The person spoke again as he sat down next to Peter, legs dangling of the edge.

Peter just watched in silence, not taking his eyes off of the stranger, he knew better then to take his eyes off of a potential threat.

"Why is he just staring at me?" The man talked as if someone else was there. Maybe there was but something in Peter made him doubt that.

"Hello?" He waved a hand in front of his face. "Earth to spidey!"

"I'm not going to jump." He whispered.

"Oh thank god." The stranger had barely finished that sentence before he was onto the next. "I'm Deadpool by the way, your friendly neighbourhood mercenary!" He stuck his hand for Peter to shake.

"Spider-Man." He nodded his head as he shook the outstretched hand.

"Trust me, I know who you are. I could never forget th- wait how old are you?" Deadpool cut himself off, Peter thought about lying but for some weird reason he trusted the stranger.

"Eighteen." He replied bluntly but not with any malice in his voice.

"Good! We're the same age which mean I can say that I could never forget that ass of yours Spidey!"  Peter blushed at the weird compliment.

"I- Thank you?" Peter stuttered out. They sat in silence for a while before Deadpool spoke again.

"So what's got you sitting up here lookin' all sad?" Peter rolled his eyes. He lifted his head off of his legs and let them dangle off the edge.
