I was ready to kill myself as I looked at the pile of my papers I had to read and some of them to sign.
I couldn't believe we were in July and I was working I just want some vacations for myself, a nice visit to Greece, or a walk on the Maldives sands, honestly even LA beach would do it for me. Everything would do it for me instead of being stuck in this office.
Everything is sooo boring. Just work and work to do, I can't even have fun although last weekend Miles, Jen and I went to a club and had quite fun. I miss some time to have fun in a different way...too relax.
My thoughts of vacations and the radiant sun were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Come in" I responded
"Hey boss... sorry to interrupt but I just notified you have a special event to attend this Saturday" she informed me
"What? Saturday? I don't have nothing new to dress!? Wait what is it? And why were you only notified now ?!"
"Connor just notified me... it's a Fundraising Party"
"Did Blaze had such an important thing planned and forgot to tell me?" I asked revolted
"Maybe he forgot"
"He forgot?" I let out a chuckle "I have only one day to pick something for such an important event? Oh my god..."
"Breathe boss... Just breathe"
"Oh my god!" I exclaimed realizing something
"What?" Jennifer asked worried, but I could only laugh at what I had discovered "You are scaring me"
"He was unethical! Right? For the first time he was unprofessional" I stated while Jennifer looked confused
"Is a good thing that your husband was unprofessional?"
"Of course! I love you so much" I kissed her checked and happily walked to the elevator. Once out of the elevator I met Linda
"Hello Mrs.Maxwell"
"Hello Linda"
"You look quite happy"
"I am" I simply said walking my way to Blaze's office
"Mrs Maxwell" Connor said as he heard my heels tapping on the floor
"Connor"
"Mr. Maxwell is on a meeting" he notified me
"Really?" I asked making him nod "then it would be quite impolite if I just opened the door"
"Well maybe if you knock-" he tried to explain but by the time I was already opening the office door to meet Blaze and woman sat on the couch laughing happily however when they noticed I was there they stopped shocked.
I furrowed my eyebrows at this weird behaviour. What is this? Who is that?
"Not knocking- it had to be my wife" he joked making the woman laugh. He got up and walked to me closing the door behind "what are you doing here?" he whispered to me while I watched the woman sipping her Martini....Blaze's Martini, he only gives that to important people so who is she?
"I wanted to talk about how unethical you are" I explained not taking my eyes off her
"I am having an important reunion"
"I see you made sure to share your martini "
"It's a special customer"
"I see... How special exactly?" I questioned interested in the pretty brunette on the couch
"What is this trivia night? We agreed that should end" he whispered so the woman wouldn't listen to our small discussion
"Who is she?"
