28) Knowing Him

Aditya's Point Of View

I held on to Amu's blood soaked fingers. My heart was pounding as hell. The nurses rushed towards the room with Amu on the stretcher, while I was still gripping on Amu's fingers. Tears rolled down my eyes. I didn't dare to check her pulse

No sweetheart..., You're fine.

"Sir we need to take her inside"I heard the nurse speaking to me. I leaned in and pecked her forehead

"I want you back and I know that you're a fighter. I don't think I can live without you sweetheart. Just come back. You don't have any option either"I whispered painfully and they took her inside the room.

I stood there lifelessly, gulping down from my throat.

Why?

That was the only question which roamed around my head. I never thought that she would take such a step. My Amu is a strong women. She's indeed strong. Then why?

I regretted a thousand times for slapping her , for leaving her alone. She needed me. But I left her. I was angry on myself. My heart ached. My foots stumbled and I plonked on the chair. I took deep breaths and assured myself that she will be alright.

Give her back to me.

That was the only thing which I kept saying in my mind.

I rushed back home and the first thing I wanted to do is to take her in my arms for a bone crushing hug. But she was nowhere to be seen. The washroom door was slightly opened. When I walked inside the sight in front of me was just equal to my death. I saw my Amu lying lifelessly on the floor. Blood was oozing out from her wounded wrist. She was taking deep breaths and was alive. I stood frozen.

Sweetheart!!!!!"I yelled my lungs out and rushed towards her. I took her in my arms and patted her cheek. I was horrified. My eyes welled up.

"Amuuuuu!! Open your eyes sweetheart"I screamed. She touched my cheek with her trembling blood stained fingers. It left imprints in my cheek.

"I wi-sh we nev-er met......"She said and closed her eyes slowly. In that exact moment, my entire world turned dark.

I rested my head in the wall. I don't have much strength to fight this again. I feel so weak.

My phone rang and I was distracted. I took it out from my pocket and realised that Arjun is calling me. I took the call.

"Aadi how's she doing?"he asked.

"Come to the hospital"I said and disconnected the call. I didn't wanted to explain further.

An hour passed. The doctor informed me that she had lost so much of blood and she's kept under observation.

"I want her back. Just do something and give her back to me"I yelled catching hold of the doctors collar

"Aadi!"I heard Arjuns voice as he took me away from the doctor and made me sit in the chair.

"Aadi what happened? What's wrong? Where's Amulya?"he asked. I sat there blankly while I was shivering with fear deep inside. My ears went dead and my limbs went numb. I continued sitting there for a long time.

"For god's sake say something Aadi"Arjun shouted catching hold of my shoulder. I sat there lifelessly

"Amu- Arjun Amu tried to--"I tried my best to swallow the lump which was struck in my throat. It chocked the hell out of me.

"What happened to her Aadi?"he asked impatiently.

"She- she tried to kill herself"I said and my eyes widened at the thought itself. What might have forced her to take such a step? She seems to be fine in the morning.
