48) Office Romance

Aditya's Point of View

I was sitting in my cubicle, going through a lengthy presentation. Today we had an important meeting with some of our international clients. They're coming to analyse our yearly contribution to fashion. And also to discuss about the launch of our new designs and product's. I'm cent percent confident that we would be able to impress them.

The work wasn't stressing me out, staying away from amu was. I couldn't stay a minute without her. Not after the amazing sex we had this morning. Amu had taken me over like an addiction.

I groaned in frustration. I wanted to get over the meeting already. I knew I was behaving like a love sick teenage boy but....it was something. Being in love was something.

Amu was my dream. There wasn't a phase of my life where amu was not in it. She'd been there in my heart from the time we were kids. The thought of being with her and receiving everything which almost felt like a dream, revved up inside me.

Gosh. I need her.

I need her so bad.

I was about to grab my intercom and dial into her, when nidhi knocked on. I groan, throwing my head back. I never felt work this maddening.

"Come in"I say.

"Good morning sir"nidhi wished me cheerfully.

"Good morning Nidhi"I wish her back, as enthusiastic as she did.

"Amrita madam is here to meet you. Should I send her in? I know that you're in between your work so-"she paused.

I recalled the conversation I had with Amrita. About her joining the company. Then I nod. A part of me felt uneasy. I wasn't even sure if she was trying to make a pass at me. If anything like that is going on inside her head, I better stop it before it gets worse.

The door opened and Amrita stepped in. She wore a floral frock and had a bright smile in her face. I smiled back as she walked in, wishing me.

"Hi Aditya"

"Hey"I smiled.

"I'm sorry to interrupt you in between your work"she said, occupying the seat opposite to mine.

"Its fine. I was looking forward to meet you as well. You know to discuss about you joining our team"I said.

"I'm really looking forward. Arjun actually briefed me about the designs. But- you know I'm kind of nervous"she bit her lips.

"Don't be. You just need to be stress free. Everything will go well"I said and she smiled in return.

"I know but still- fashion is not my thing. But I should say that being here changed so much in me"she said.

"Of course. Newyork changes everything "I said.

"True that"

"So I'll ask the team to be ready. We're trying out Indian designs this week so may be after two days they'll call you for a trial session. Let's see how it'll go and then we can see if you're fit enough to represent us"I said.

"Fingers crossed"she said making me nod.

"You'll do great police madam. Trust me"

"I bet I will"she grinned and we laughed.

"And Aditya- actually I came to talk to you about something else too. That night I-"she paused and shifted nervously. My heart skipped a beat seeing her face. Amrita having feelings for me is the least thing I want right now. Besides she knows that I'm married and how much I love amu.
