60) Confrontation

I kept looking at Aditya who is sitting quietly in the couch, processing everything I just said. Prashant stood right next to me without saying anything. The silence in the air made me feel chocking.

"Vicky....say something"I said softly. He gently looked up at me. His eyes are red and teary. My heart breaks a little, seeing him like this.

"I know it's too much to take. But-this is the truth. No matter how difficult it is to accept for you both"I said.

Aditya ducked his face in his palms.

"Amu-I think I should leave"prashant said, looking at aditya.

"But-"

"As you said-it requires time. It took so much of my courage to come here today. And you said what you wanted to. I'm not here to force myself into anyone's life. I've been alone for a long time. So-"he paused. I looked back at aditya who didn't show any signs of budging.

"Bye"prashant said and he quietly walked outside. I watched him walk away.

Once he was gone, I came back to aditya and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him closer. I could hear his slow whimpering which made me hug him more.

"Vicky..."i called him softly.

"Leave me alone"he said. I looked at him. He removed my arms from him and got up.

"I need some time amu"he said.

"Vicky please"I held his hand.

"Amu I beg you. Just leave me alone for a while. I dont want to see or talk to anyone. Please dont disturb me"he said and quietly walked upstairs, before I could stop him.

A sigh left my lips. I sat idle for a long time. I recalled the day I got to know that Prashant is Aditya's brother. It felt like a horrible nightmare. We were together since childhood and we had no idea about it. It took time for me to accept everything.

That was the reason why I wanted to come back to India. I wanted aditya to meet Prashant and take whatever decision that was needed. It is hard but not impossible.

With rishis help I contacted Prashant again and I had to let him know everything. At first he didn't accept what I said. I had to show him all the proofs that I had collected. Both aditya and Prashant hated each other so much and I knew it. But if I don't let them know the truth, they're gonna loose the only family which is their own.

Aditya didn't come outside the room for so long. I called him twice to have food, but he didn't respond. I decided to give him some time as I knew how difficult it is to accept the truth.

I was busy cleaning the room when the intercom buzzed.

"Hey its me. Let me in"

I smiled widely as I recognised the voice. I ran to the door and opened it wide. Arjun stood outside, smilingly.

"Hey"I hugged him tightly. He hugged me back, almost picking me up from the floor.

God. I missed him.

"How have you been?"he asked breaking the hug

"Great. Come in"I dragged him inside.

"How was your flight?"I asked.

"Pretty good. Where's aadi?"he asked. My smile vanished and a sigh left my mouth.

"What?"he asked.

"I have to tell you something. And don't scold me saying that I acted on impulse. I did what I wanted to do for a long time"I said and made him sit next to me on the couch.
