Azzy's Pov

Austin and I were in the practice room again, working on our song.

I still can't believe we managed to write a song without Ally.

"'If you wanna run I'll be your road.'" Austin sang.

I was reading the lyrics off of my sketch book.

Hey, Ally has her song book where she writes everything. I have my sketch book where I write everything.

"What's the next line?" He asked.

"If you want a friend." I said.

"Right. Friend. I like that." He said.

"You do? You don't think we should use a stronger word?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe. I just don't wanna mess up our... song." He said.

Song? Really?

I guess I'll play along.

"Right. Don't wanna mess up our song." I said.

The door opened and in came Ally, Dez, and Trish.

"Hey guys." Trish said.

"What's up? Anything new?" Ally asked.

"Nope, just writing a song." I said.

"So nothing's...changed?" Dez asked.

"Well, we finished the third verse." Moon said.

"So would you say that some progress has been made and the two of you are moving in a positive direction?" Trish asked.

I know what they're up to.

"I'll be right back." I whispered to Austin.

He nodded and I turned to Ally and Trish.

"Ally, Trish, can I talk to you outside for a second?" I said.

And before they could answer, I pulled them out the door.

Once the door to the practice room was closed, I looked at both of them.

"Azzy, we weren't really talking about the song." Trish said.

"We were talking about you and Austin!" Ally said.

"You were. I didn't even notice." I said sarcastically.

All three of us laughed a bit.

"Look, I know he has feelings for me, but for all we know, he still wants to be with Kira." I said.

"Boohoo, he's gonna have to deal with this at some point." Trish said.

"Well he can deal with this some other day. And I don't wanna wait for him to choose. Our mom is coming home from Africa today, and we should focus on that." I said, pointing to myself and Ally.

"Good for you! Never wait on a guy. Actually never wait on anybody. That's why I'm a terrible waitress." Trish said.

Okay then.

"I'll just forget about this whole Austin thing for now. I'll go back to Boohooing after our mom leaves." I said.

They both nodded.

"What do you think they're talking about in there?" Ally asked.

We stood around for a split second and then Trish pressed her ear to the door.

"You hear anything?" Me and Ally asked.

"No, it's really quiet." She said.
