Ah.. Halloween. Used to be one of my favorite things, up until Jax came and started scaring me every chance he got.

Even if you were already a scaredy cat.

Anyway, I was at the counter with Ally when the boys ran in.

"I am the electric Avenger!" Austin said.

Wow..

Why are you saying 'wow'. We didn't even dress up this time.

Cause I did skeleton make-up instead of a costume this year.

"And I'm his trusty sidekick, Spark Plug!" Dez said.

Uhh...

"Moon, you look awesome." I said.

"And Dez, you look like... A garbage can." Ally said.

I nodded.

"I was so busy making Austin's costume, I didn't have time to work on mine. But I'm still a superhero who keeps the streets clean. Of crime! And trash." Dez explained.

Why didn't they ask you to help with the costumes.

Cause they never invite me to stuff anymore.

Then Trish and Jax walked in.

Nice work on Jax's cuts and bruises.

Yep. I'm awesome at costumes and makeup.

"Wow. You look very bloody." I said to Jax.

It looked like he added more fake blood.

"Thanks, Shorty." He said, lifting his mask up.

"Oh! Cute nurse's costume." Ally said to Trish.

It does look cute.

"Oh, this isn't a costume. I got a job at a nursing home. It's perfect... me and the old people take naps at the same time." Trish said.

Sounds like the perfect job.

"Well, you can still wear it to Jimmy Starr's Halloween party. Whoo!" Dez said.

Ah, yes. Another chance to knock out another celebrity.

"Looks like we're all ready to go. And when I say 'we're all ready'. I mean, Ally, hurry up and get ready." Austin said.

"Just give me a sec."

Ally turned to the counter, got something, and then turned back to us.

Huh?

"Ah! All set. Guess who I am." Ally said.

"Glass-thingy-in-her-eye girl?" Dez asked.

"No! I'm Sylvia Von Harden."

Who?

"German? 1920's? Influential journalist and poet?" Ally asked.

Again.. Who?

"Oh, that Sylvia Von Harden." Jax said.

He doesn't know who that is either.

I don't think any of us know.

We heard a buzzing noise and then the lights went out.

Um...

"Is it just me, or did the lights go out?" Dez asked.

"The lights when out." Trish said.

Then Dez shrieked.

"Is it just me, or did someone just scream?"
