Alex and Leon both voice their thanks towards the prime minister who still wore a stern faced despite saying such nice things.

"However, I still do not thing this will crush them completely. As expected, we need to solve the matter with the assault on my daughter."

"Indeed... Your majesty, there is one thing puzzling me."

Verand spoke.

"What is it?"

"Yes. If Pavel was the mastermind, why would he plan an assault on her highness who he wanted to gain favor from?"

"Hm... That is a good question."

Leon too was lost by that question. Since Pavel was too foolish, he could not completely grasp his train of thought. Guessing the thought of a man who thinks he's a genius was easier than guessing the thought of a complete fool. Leon seemed to finally confirm its truths with this case.

"It would be ideal to extract information from the assailants you caught, Leon, however..."

"?"

The king suddenly went silent with a worried expression on his face. And as if to answer the question Leon was showing on his face, the prime minister talked.

"We have received reports that the assailants were cursed and fell into comatose state shortly after they arrived here."

"A curse is it?"

Leon's mind immediately went to the behemoth and the dark ogre. However that was highly unlikely. The assailants were not curse when Leon last saw them, and if it were to be inflicted to multiple people in a certain area at once during their transport to the capital, the knights should also be affected, but they weren't.

It might just be a coincidence, but it was more likely that it was a different curse that someone inflicted on the assailants. Judging by the possible timeframe for it, it was most probably before they assault the princess. Since Leon didn't check their statuses, he wouldn't know if they were cursed or not, but it was the most plausible situation. And if that was true, that means there's someone with affinity to dark element.

Immediately Leon thought of investigating this and sent a glance to Alex. Being intelligent enough to follow Leon's logic and understand him, Alex nodded after meeting Leon's gaze, acknowledging his master's order.

"Yes, I have gathered magicians with affinity to light element to undo the curse. But unfortunately, they could only hold it back."

Julia said with a worried expression.

"I understand. Will I be permitted to see the prisoners, your majesty? I shall try to undo the curse."

"Thank you very much Leon. With you, we most definitely be able to undo all of their curse."

The king smiled confidently, trusting in Leon's ability.

"I shall try my best."

"Ah, can I also join you? Please!"

Julia, acting just like her when it comes to magic, asked Leon in an excited manner with not only her eyes, but her entire body sparkling with excitement and curiosity. If it was someone else, Leon would've thought that they would try to sabotage his attempt in removing the curse. However, the Julia now was like a child who's excited to see a play or go to an amusement park. There was no ulterior motif, just pure curiosity and excitement.
