"Then let's take a seat and start eating!"

"Yes."

As the lord of the house, Verand took the seat meant for him which was at the head of the rectangular long table. Then on his left was his wife, Lidia, his brother-in-law Harold.

Opposite of Lidia, which is also Verand's right, was Leon. Then seating on his right was Iris. Normally, Iris would sit in between Lidia and Harold. But because it was a special and informal occasion, Lidia encouraged her, before Leon even arrived, to go sit beside him during the meal. Iris immediately felt her cheeks burning up and became nervous at the thought of sitting on Leon's side, especially in front of her family, as it was similar to saying she's his wife. But after some encouragement, she managed to do it, although her heart was still thumping loudly.

Beside Iris, Vyra, Lily, and Victoria sat in that order. Then lastly, Vincent sat beside Harold since it would be easier for Vincent to talk to him about the company when Leon revealed that he and his wife would be the CEOs of the company.

They began eating the feast and made small talks as they ate. Leon chatted with Verand about his life in the academy as a teacher. He told them that his students have been rapidly improving in terms of magic and swordsmanship, making Verand very excited for the upcoming tournament a few months later.

The girls chatted with each other about Fina and Eric's group and how they're adapting to their new life. Lily told them that they were doing very well despite the fact that it has only been a week since their rescue. Everyone was working hard in order to quickly improve their skills in business, etiquette, and self-defense. Hearing about self-defense, Lidia was intrigued as it was rare for self-defense training to be included in a business employee's training. Lily, Vyra, and Victoria welcomed Lidia and Iris with open arms if they wish to visit Leon's mansion to see the training. The mother and daughter pair immediately agreed to it and even offered to lend a hand in their etiquette and self-defense training. Although their household was more inclined towards the military, rather than business, they were still high-ranked nobles that have undergone intensive etiquette lessons in their childhood. Lily and the others thanked them for willingly lend a hand in their training as it would be very beneficial for Fina and the others if they could receive etiquette lessons from high-ranked nobles themselves.

Meanwhile, Harold was chatting up a storm with Vincent. Though it seemed to be a very heated conversation at first glance, Harold was actually the one speaking the majority of the time while Vincent just calmly listened to him. He actually didn't mind how passionate Harold was, although he could see how it might be overbearing to most people. Vincent was very impressed by the business insights contained in his rapidly flowing words that reflected how skilled and talented Harold was in this field. He was pleasantly surprised to see someone with such an incredible business sense that could even rival his master. Although his foresight ability and the ability to read other people's intentions and emotions were still below Leon's, he was definitely one of the best businessmen in this world.

After they finished their meal, they were lead to a room where they would have their talk. It was a room that is especially used for Verand and Lidia to have a talk with other high ranked nobles. At the center of the room, there were four elegant, soft, comfortable-looking couches facing each other with a marble coffee table in the middle.

Since the details of Leon's company are classified, Verand told the servants to stand by outside the room after they've prepared some refreshments and tea. Leon also created his own soundproofing and anti-scrying barriers even though there's already anti-spying barriers placed in the room. The anti-spying barriers the room had were powered by a magic stone. It will drain a considerable amount of mana stored in the magic stone while it is active. A medium-sized magic stone, which costs around 30 gold, could maintain the barrier for 12 hours before it must be infused with mana to be recharged.
