"Daniel where in the hell are you leading me? Are you gonna kipnap me or anything?" Max shouts while Daniel tries to get him through the many leaves that were on the duo their way. "You'll like it, trust me" Daniel said, squeezing the hand of his blindfolded friend slightly. "Are you sure? It's difficult to trust you sometimes" Max said with a laugh. Daniel grins back. "I know, I know. But trust me on this one hubby, please" Daniel said with a chuckle.

"Dan, I hear water? Seriously where are we going?" Max asked as he feels Daniel slowly get behind him. "Get ready" Daniel whispers from behind him. "Daniel what-" Max tries to say before he shuts himself as he looks around in amazement."it's beautiful, isn't it?" Daniel says happily from behind Max "Wow Dan, where did you find this place?" Max asks with a whispers as his mouth is slightly ajar.

In front of the two, or more around them, is a beautiful place in the middle of the forest. They're both standing on a large rock just next to the flowing river. The water isn't going too fast, very gentle to be fair. "Found this place 2 years ago at the British GP. Went on a walk to here ever since" Daniel said with a soft laugh. "Well I get why you're going here. This place is gorgeous!"

Daniel smiles as he sits down on the rock, smiling up at Max while patting the place next to him. Max sits down next to Daniel with a smile. After Max had looked a bit more around of the sight he couldn't get enough of, he looks at Daniel. "Why did you take me here anyways Daniel?" Max said as the Aussie sighs before pulling one knee up to his chest to let his head rest on it.

"It's such a wonderful place, wanted to take a wonderful person with me" Daniel said. Max smiled at Daniel but before he could reply, Daniel did it before him. "Oh and I also took his bestfriend with him, just in case" he said with a wink before laughing as he lays down on the rock after seeing Max's glare.

Daniel gasps as Max suddenly pushes him into the river when he doesn't stop laughing. Daniel comes out of the water with a gasp. "M-Max Emilian Verstappen! You're gettin' karma baby!" Daniel said before diving to Max, pulling him into the river aswell. Max yelps before he squeezing his nose to prevent water in his nose.

Max and Daniel laugh as they get up again, starting to play fight like kids right in the middle of the river. When they're eventually out of breath, they both agree to sit back on the rock again, trying to dry up a bit by the slight sunlight coming from behind the trees. They both lay down in silent as Max looks around at the little waterfall a bit further away.

"Do you take others here aswell?" Max asks as he keeps looking around at how beautiful the place his former teammate found. Daniel found it adorable how much Max was so amazed by the place, and the Aussie was obviously glad that he took Max with him. "Nope, you're the first one" Daniel said with a laugh as he smiles when he saw Max's face secretly light up after he said that.

"I feel honoured" Max said as he placed his hand on his chest, acting like he's treated like a prince. "Oh shut it, Verstappen" Daniel said as he turns himself so he lays his head on Max's lap. "Soo, gonna score another podium this weekend?" Daniel asks as he stares up at Max. Max looks down at the Aussie and shrugs. "I hope so, I was so lonely in the race that I even asked my engineer if they have been drinking enough" Max said with a laugh. "But Mercedes is just out of everyone's league" the Dutchman continues.

"Yeah true" Daniel said as he has his eyes closed. "But Redbull is out of everyone's league aswell if you look at 'the midfield', which is basically the whole grid apart from Mercedes" Daniel said with a laugh, making Max agree and laugh along with him.

After a few more minutes of laying down, Daniel sits up again next to Max as the Dutchman lays his head on Daniel's shoulder as soon as he sits next to him. "Ya enjoy it 'ere?" Daniel asks with a smile, which got answered by a nod. "I love it here" Max said while the Renault driver runs his hair through his wet curls which Max secretly loved the most.

"I'm glad" Daniel said as he wraps his arm around Max. Max happily leans  the Aussie's touch while closing his eyes as he exhales deeply. The fresh scent of the nature, hearing the water flowing and the birds chirping. Max opens his eyes slowly, seeing Daniel did the same as he did. Just enjoying the little moment of peace.

Daniel was glad to have found this place two years ago. It always makes him chill and calm. Sure, Daniel is always the joker of F1, that wide smile not easy to get rid off, happy and even slightly jazzy sometimes.. but Daniel needs to get a bit loose and be alone sometimes. When he found this place 2 years ago, it made his mind relax, and everytime he comes back here, it's all just nature and peace. But always being alone in this beautiful nature was a waste of the once who deserved to see ths amazing place. I'm lucky to share it with this dork Daniel thought as he looked at the Dutchboy next to him.

Daniel looks at his phone to see that they, sadly, need to get back to the hotel for dinner already. God, have we been here for so long? Daniel thought but couldn't stop himself from smiling. It wasn't a problem that they stayed so long at all. He had definetly cleared up his mind at the moments that needed to be cleared up. He smiled at Max before softly shaking him. "Max, we have to go home. It's time for dinner" Daniel said as he laughed how the younger driver stretched his arms.

Max and Daniel both stand up as Max stretched his arms again, before his left foot slips from the rock. Max yelps but Daniel quickly catches him, both arms wrapped strongly around his middle. "I think you just.." Daniel stopped mid-sentence as Max eyed him confusingly. There was a long silence before Daniel whispered "fell for me" with a cheeky smile and a wink as Max rolls his eyes. "Just put me down Dan".

"Okay!" Daniel said as he puts Max on his feet before pushing him towards the river again, making him lose balance. But before he could fall in, Daniel had one hand on the top of his back and one hand on his lower back to make him stop from falling while he leans over Max, faces so close that the Redbull driver starts to blush. "I've got you, flying Dutchman" Daniel said with a grin as Max shakes his head but silently grins aswell.

Back at the hotel

Daniel shakes Max awake as he had just parked the car at the hotel. "5.. more.. minutes" Max mumbles as he wiggles a bit in his half-sleeping state. "You can cuddle in bed after dinner hubby, but the rest of the guys are waiting for us" Daniel said on a soft tone while Max groans. "You're cute tho, when you're half-asleep" Daniel said with a laugh as he steps out of his Renault while Max's eyes shot open before he jumps out of the car.

"Don't you dare call me cute once again!" Max said as he ran after the Aussie who was already close to the door. Just when the Dutchman tried to tackle Daniel down, Alex walked just at that moment out of the hotel. "We were waiting for you guys! Where have you two been?" Alex said, a slight smirk appearing on his face as he sees the duo look at each other.

I have some sad news aswell... I'm going camping with some friends next week.. which means I'm not home for the Spanish GP.. I might be home at the right time on sunday but I can't watch free practice and qualy sadly.. well I'm still gonna watch Q3, my friends can fuck off hahahha

To be honest.. I'm not rly excited to go camping.. but oh well.. but yeah this means I'm not able to post.. only on tuesday, so there will be no chapter on the Spanish GP sadly.. I'm so sorry 🥺

It's gonna be the first GP I'm not gonna watch (Well I still think I can make it but not sure) since Spain 2016.. I've watched every single race, I'm so saddd😭
