A/N: things are about to get cray cray. also, I just wanted to clarify some things! 1) my french is shit, so feel free to call me out if something I write in french is incorrect, cause I don't want it to be bad lmao I won't be offended. 2) everything I write is coming from some research but mainly from a girl I know who is living in france - so if you're french and you're like "this author is freaking weird wtf is she talking about", then just know that maybe this girl in france might have different experiences/customs/etc than you! but if anything is like super wild then let me know cause I don't want this to be inaccurate you know? thanks!

btw, I will put translations at the end, but if you prefer it right after the french is spoken, then let me know if that's easier!

Adjusting to American life wasn't easy, but you were lucky. If you didn't have Ned and Peter, you definitely would've gone insane by now.

As promised, Peter showed you to all your classes. You only had two teachers that forced you to introduce yourself to the class, which you thought was so weird and annoying, though Peter explained it was typical of new students.

A lot of people approached you, surprising you. You supposed foreign students didn't often come, and definitely not this late in the year. Most people just asked about France, which you didn't mind too much, and it was nice to meet some people. But you stuck with Peter and Ned, knowing they were probably going to be the only ones who would remain interested in being friends once the hype died down.

At lunch, as promised, Ned saved you a seat while Peter showed you where to get in line and grab food. They were both amused at your blatant disgust for whatever the lunch lady put on your plate, laughing at your complaints about how there wasn't enough fruit and how the meat didn't look right.

Peter went with you after school to the library to grab your required textbooks, and offered to carry them for you, which made you blush and pray that he didn't notice. He talked a bit about himself - how he lived with his aunt and uncle, and he enjoyed working with robotics and was best at science.

"Really? We go to a school of science and you are good at science?" You had teased lightly, making him roll his eyes before continuing.

"Well, we have a field trip coming up that I think you'll have to go on too, since you're in the biology class with me," he got excited, and you tried not to acknowledge how cute he was when his face lit up. "It's in a couple weeks, we're going to one of the nearby labs to look at radioactive spiders or something like that."

You let out a shudder, "I hate spiders. They will be locked up, right?"

"Of course they will," he scoffed, "Who knows what would happen if one of them escaped? But it'll be really cool!"

"Well, if you say so," you laughed, stopping outside of the front of the school and facing Peter. You didn't want to leave him now, already used to him as though you had known him for years.

"Could I, uh, walk you home?" He asked shyly, making you grin.

"That would be nice of you, thanks," You shifted your backpack, "I only live a couple blocks down the street."

"Awesome," he shot you a smile, "Lead the way."

Ever since that first day, you knew you how easy it would be to fall in love with Peter. You were currently doing that - falling for him. You'd known him and Ned for about three weeks now, but it felt like years.
