Chapter 23 ~ Back to Study

~ A week later ~

~ Alex's POV ~

It had been about a week since we went for the walk in the forest.

In that time we just been spending time together. It had been the best week ever.

She had started really trusting me and her eating has really improved!

I had said a while ago that we were going to go back to the study place when she had started a trusting me.

I was nervous about going back.

It wasn't the work. It was the people.

There are constantly hoards of people around me the whole time...

I was aloud to have guards round me occasionally but now Ali has come into my life, I have to have all round security.

Don't ask me why...

I don't mind it though.

I decided not to worry about it and get up this morning just as normal.

I know Ali likes the study place. I could tell when she was there.

I went into her room in the morning and turned her light on.

I heard sniffles and cute groans.

I walked over to her seeing her eyes flutter open and look up at me.

I lifted her onto my hip and started rocking her.

"Good morning." I whispered in her ear.

I heard her say something. It sounded a bit like good morning but she said it so muffled from her thumb in her mouth.

She was so damn cute.

I placed her on the changing table and took her Pyjamas off. I looked at her cute eyes, looking up at me and sang to her.

She twirled her hair cutely and gave me a small smile.

"Your smiley this morning!" I smiled.

She smiled back widely and threw her hands up to me.

Once I had changed her, I put her in some black leggings and a t-shirt with an oversized hoodie.

I knew baggy clothing would make her feel better.

I picked her up, her head just flopped onto my shoulder and she sucked her thumb.

I put her hood up over her head and took her downstairs.

I placed her in the high chair and buckled her in.

She was twirling my hair so I couched down so she could do it.

I ended up standing there for about 10 minutes.

I loved it when she did it.

When she was done I sat down in my chair and the men game out and brought us food.

"Thanks." I said.

They smiled back at me and then left.

I saw Ali put a piece of fruit in her mouth.

She carried on eating and ended up eating at least 5 pieces of fruit.

There were only three left but I could see she was full.

She reached for the bottle and started drinking it.

When we had both finished I unbuckled her and lifted her onto my hip.

"Baby I need to explain what's going to happen today." I softly said.

She nodded with her thumb in her mouth.

"We are going to go back the study place." I explained.

Her eyes widened and I felt her heart start beating faster.

"Everything will be okay. I promise." I looked into her worried eyes.

"But, what about everyone?" She worriedly asked.

"Trust me, no one will judge you, I won't allow that." I said.

"You pinky promise?" She softly asked, holding her pinky finger out and a tear rolled down her cheek.

I kissed the tear away and both our pinkies met.

"Pinky promise." I smiled a bit.

She did a brave nod and a deep breath.

I then carried her to the front door and put her on the chair.

I reached for the phone and pressed the dial number.

"Hi, can I get Study DGA8 code 257 please?" I asked.

"Yes Sir." They said.

I hung up and saw Ali waving her feet around.

I reached for her trainers and helped her put them on her feet.

I tied them up together and then picked her up.

I made sure we left half an hour early so we could get there, when no one else is.

I carried her down the driveway and opened the car door.

Her arms were round my neck and her head was nuzzled into my neck.

I started rocking her and sung to her.

She felt so calm and relaxed.

After a few minutes she pulled up and gave me a very small smile.

I smiled back and buckled her in the car making sure she was comfy.

I shut the door and went to the boot where the men were loading it up with my bag and Ali's bag.

I got in the car and started the car up.

I looked in the mirror and saw Ali playing with the strands on her hoodie.

She was smiling a little bit.

I smiled in the mirror and then drove off.

It wasn't far so we arrived in a few minutes.

I stopped the car and looked at my watch.

It read 8:35am. The day didn't start for another 25 minutes.

It gave me some time to get Ali used to the place and for the guards to speak to the headmaster.

I went round to Ali's side and opened the door.

She looked up at me as I unbuckled her.

I picked her up and she put her arms round my shoulder.

I closed the door and then got the 2 bags from out the boot.

I locked the car up and turned to her.

"You okay?" I softly asked.

She put her thumb in her mouth and I heard small whimpers.

"I will be here the whole time. I promise." I softly said.

She cuddled me tight. I did the same.

"We are here a bit early so you can get used to the place." I smiled.

I could tell she like that idea as she lifted up and smiling at me a bit.

We then headed to the doors.
