~ Alex's POV ~

We both walked to the chemistry side of the study centre with the guards by us.

We walked down the busy corridor full of loud people who tried to follow us.

I just kept my eyes forwards and my one purpose was to get to Chemistry on time.

It was pretty lucky Ali and I were taking the same subjects.

When we got there we both went inside with the guards and were met with Mr Brick.

He turned around from writing on the whiteboard and gave us a weird look.

He never liked anyone in the study centre and was probably the worst teacher there.

"Alright?" I asked holding Ali's hand.

"Fine." He replied not really bothered.

I sat down at a desk and Ali sat next to me.

The guards stood around us and made sure everything was okay.

Everyone started entering the class quite quietly. I didn't blame them, being caught loud with Mr Brick would send you 6 feet underground.

Everyone came in and sat down and most looked over at me.

"Face the front!" Mr Brick suddenly said.

Everyone looked at him straight away and started concentrating.

"Right guys, today we'll be looking at hydrocarbons, what is a hydrocarbon?" He asked.

A few people raised their hands and he scanned the people.

He then looked over and looked at Ali.

I felt her jolt a bit from him staring at her.

"Ali, what is a hydrocarbon?" He asked.

I felt her jolt hard and her breathing started going faster.

I death stared him.

"Watch it." I whispered. He heard me and ignored me.

I felt Ali gulp and her palms started sweating.

The guards stepped in a bit and held their hands up.

"A compound containing hydrogen and carbon?" She answered.

Mr Brick looked at bit disappointed.

"Yeah, it's correct." He glumly said.

He turned around and wrote on the white board.

Ali was still shaking a bit but she had stopped panicking so much.

I squeezed her hand and she looked up at me.

She nodded and I nodded as well.

She was so clever.

We carried on with the rest of the lesson.

When it was the end of the lesson everyone packed up their things and left the room quietly.

I stayed behind and Mr Brick turned round.

"What do you want?" He asked not giving me eye contact.

"You know exactly what I'm on about." I said.

"We will have to have words with the headmaster sir as you have broken the rules." One of the guards said.

"I will do no such thing." He rudely said.

"Sir, we will need to speak with him or the police could be involved." Another guard said.
