Y/N:
I woke up in a sweat and breathing heavily after having another nightmare. I sat up trying to get my breathing under control. Nightmares weren't unusual thing for me to get, in fact, I probably get more nightmares than I do sleep. Obviously being in a cell for years on end, I have had to learn to cope with them on my own. I got up to use the bathroom and splash my face with water. It wasn't until I got out of bed that I realised that I felt something wet were I was laying. I turned around to see blood covering the what looked like very expensive white sheets. "No, no, no, they're gonna kill me." I started to cry. I didn't know what to do. I don't know why this is happening. I went to the bathroom and saw that the blood was all down the pants that Natasha had let me borrow.
After panicking about how I've ruined the sheets and the pants, it hit me. I didn't know what was happening. I felt my breathing getting shallower. It feels like my air ways are closing. I turned on the water to splash my face, trying to compose myself.

Natasha:
It was two o'clock in the morning and I was finally finishing up the rest of the paperwork from our latest mission. It wouldn't usually take me this long, but I wanted to take care of Y/N first, considering it was her first night in the compound after getting out of HYDRA.

As I'm walking down the hallway to my bedroom I go to check on Y/N before going to sleep. Her door was left open slightly as she didn't want it to be completely shut. I walk in to see that she wasn't in her bed. I then saw that her sheets were covered in blood. The water turned on in her bathroom and I could hear her crying. I walked over the the door and knocked.

"Y/N, are you okay?"
"I'm so sorry I didn't mean mean to ruin the sheets, please don't hurt me. It was an accident. I didn't mean it." She sobbed. "Honey, it's okay. You just got your period that's all. I promise you, I won't hurt you," I soothed. "Can I come in?"
"Okay." Y/N quietly said.

I opened the door to see dark circles under her eyes and tears streaming down her face. "Oh sweetheart, it's okay. Come here," I said opening up my arms to her to pull her into a hug.
Y/N was very stiff at first, it's obvious she is not good with physical contact. Which I don't blame her after being at HYDRA. "I promise I will never hurt you." I soothed. After telling her that she seemed to relax into my embrace.

After I explained to her what to do and what a period was, she got into the the shower to clean herself up whilst I changed her sheets and bought her some fresh clothes.

As I finished making up her bed she walked out the bathroom. "You okay?" I asked to which she nodded her head. "Thank you" she said quietly whilst looking down at the floor. "Of course, I'm always here." I said before pulling her into another hug. "Goodnight Y/N," I said, placing a kiss on her forehead before starting to walk out the room. I turned around to close the door to see that she was still standing there. "You okay sweetheart?"
"I don't want to go back to sleep, I get nightmares," She spoke quietly as she started to tear up. "I'm so sorry Y/N, I know how awful nightmares are. Do you want me to stay with you? I found that whenever someone would stay with me I slept better." She nodded her head and mumbled, "Yes please."

We climbed into bed and she snuggled up against me falling asleep within 5 minutes.
