The family + Nivi and Rishab reached Avi's home. Shalini noticed that the house had been expanded to a limit where Shalini could hardly recognise it. Samira excitedly pulled Adhira and ran inside. "Mira paathu." Avi told. "Huh?" Shalini responded. "Illa Samira va sonnen." He told and she nodded. 'Idhu coincidence ah illa en per ah veikanum nu vecharu ah?' she thought but shrugged the thought away, feeling heavy as she re-entered the house.
Shalini noticed the entire house re-modelled apart from Mahesh's chamber and his old room. Shalini's hands moved to that room's handle, she was about to open it when Avi stopped her. "That room is off limits." He announced and her heart sunk. "Okay." She told feeling a stranger in a house that her mom taught her was hers.
She just walked away when Avi was equally hurt seeing her. But he knew he couldn't let her know that it was her memories that ran him. "Indha room ku oru lock podanum." Avi told out loud. Shalini on the other hand walked to the balcony and called Santosh from Aadhira's tab. "Aadhu kutty? Okay va? Enna problem?" He asked all at once. "Kutty Ellam illa, naa dhan pesren." Shalini told. Shalini cut the call to notice the cook akka. "Akka!!" She exclaimed and hugged her. "Thallu pula." She cut her off. "Ennachu? En ipdi?" Shalini asked. Shalini held the glasses in her hand and turned to find Avi standing behind her causing her to jerk and spill a bit of milk on her dress. "Enna venum?" Shalini asked. Avi sighed. "Samira kum avanukkum set aagadhu." He added with a smirk and passed the glasses to her in a way that it spilled slightly on her. "Psch!!" She exclaimed but he just walked away. Shalini passed the girls the milk and used a tissue to brush off the milk on her shirt. "Ma, before we sleep oru padam paaklama?" Aadhira asked. "Okay." Shalini told. "Pei padam pota konnuduven!!" Shalini exclaimed. "Cha cha!! Adhellam pannuvena?" Aadhira asked playfully. "No psycho killer documentaries as well!" Shalini added. "Definitely not." Aadhira added and Shalini turned suspicious.
Shalini tucked the girls in bed, "Full movie paakanum nu illa, if you feel sleepy, then sleep." Shalini told. She pulled the comforter on them and dimmed the light. The movie began and Shalini gasped. "Aadhira!!!" Shalini chided. "It's not a horror film, it's not a psycho killer documentary!!" She exclaimed back. "Adhukaga? Dawn of the dead ah dhan thoongradhuku munnadi paakanuma?" Shalini asked. Avi who stood behind the door chuckled hearing the rambles.
He knocked the door and opened it. "Sam, so you'll sleep here today?" He asked. "I'll come there if you want." She told knowing that her dad's sleeping disorder gets worse without her. "No, you carry on." He told. "Also padatha maathunga, Innerthiku evanadhu zombie padam paapana?" He questioned. "Unna Yaarum paaka sollala." Aadhira added earning a glare. "Aadhira atleast give respect to his age and position!!" Shalini exclaimed. "Serin nga-nga, neenga-nga indha-nga padatha-nga paakanum nu-nga nga yaarum-nga nga, kekala-nga nga." Aadhira added. "Podhumanga?" Aadhira asked making even Avi chuckle. "Seri-nga nga, seekiram paduthu thoongunga-nga!!" Avi added for his part and left. "She is such a ball of happiness." Samira commented giggling.
"Seri padatha play pannava?" Aadhira offered. "Pesama padu!" Shalini told and switched off the tv before making Aadhira lie on her left and Sam on the right, patting them asleep. Samira fell asleep almost instantly while so did Aadhira but something disturbed Samira's sleep around two am. She woke up and her thoughts instantly went to her dad.
She rushed to his room and found the night light on and a book on his hands as he rested on the bed. Samira turned the light off and Avi lowered the book nd removed his specs. "Mira, nee unga amma kuda paduklaya?" He questioned but she just climbed onto the bed and kept his book away before comfortably laying on his chest. "Mira, nee illanalum I can try and sleep with the medications da." He told. "I don't want you take those medicines and also I can't sleep peacefully without you." She added.
Avi kissed her forehead as his eyes moistened. "I love you." He whispered.
As a person who always lost the people he loved in his life, her constant love made him feel secured. Samira's love always healed him. His worries about Shalini still not trusting him and Aadhira's hatred towards him flew away with her simple "I love you too dad."
