"Hey love bug, we're six months today!" I squealed as I turned the camera to show the mirror before turning to the side to show the large baby bump pushing out my T-shirt. "Todays appointment went really well, poor daddy was stuck in a meeting." I breathed out as I sat down on the stool in my closet. "You've been moving so much and all I want to do is feel you." I grinned as I showed her the ultrasound that had been taken an hour ago. "The doctor said she can see something on the scan, it could be anything." I said as my voice cracked.

Dr Charles had said she could see something on the scan and not worry, but there's so many things it could be and I don't like any of them. The entire way back from the hospital, I sat in silence while Holly and Mia tried creating conversation. I'm sure they could sense something was wrong and so they didn't push me for answers.

I read online and also learned in my three years at NYU in Dr Evans' classes that there are chances of benign tumours during pregnant but those are rarer than dodo birds. Literally less than one percent.

"She said she doesn't know what it is because you, my love, are in the way but I'll have to have some tests to be sure. I hope you're okay in there, doll." I smiled as I blew a kiss to my phone and stopped the recording.

Leaning against the island we have in our closet, I closed my eyes and took in a deep breath while rubbing my belly. Everything's fine. Everything is fine.

I took a couple moments to gather myself and stop myself from bursting into tears over the possibilities, and tapped on Mason's name. He's been calling me since I left the doctors office and I haven't answered a single call. I'll just pretend my phone died.

"Yay you remembered I exist!" He cheered sarcastically on the other end as I rolled my eyes in amusement and got up from the stool.

"Oh sorry, wrong number. I was supposed to call my main chick." I grinned as I heard him huff on the other end.

"How did the appointment go?" He asked as I bit my lip and stared at the ceiling. No lying.

"Dr Charles said she could see something on the ultrasound but wasn't sure what exactly it was because our baby was in the way." I said as he stayed silent and waited for me to finish. "She didn't say what it could be..." I started but he cut me off.

"But you think you know?" He asked softly as I nodded, momentarily forgetting he can't see me.

"It could be anything between fluid and a tumour." I breathed out, cringing at the thought of a tumour. "I could just be paranoid because a tumour is the least likely thing. Less than a percent." I told him as he stayed silent for a couple moments.

"Okay, it's not a tumour. I know it's not." He said as I nodded and let out a shaky breath. "Our baby is healthy, and you're healthy. No over thinking, no nothing. Just positive thoughts." He said calmly as I nodded once again.

"When will you be home?" I asked hoping it's soon.

"I still have a couple hours." He sighed. "There's a bunch going on with the reconstruction upstairs." He said as I thought back at the explosion.

Elijah and his team along with another team were all over the case. They've been working together for a while trying to find Jake, but when they checked the floor they said it was the electrical wiring that went wrong. Bullpoop. We all know who it was and why it happened and so do they.

"Get some lunch, take a nap, or call the girls over." Mason suggested.

"I'm going to take a nap, I'll text you later." I sighed.

"We're fine, I promise we're fine." Mason reassured as I blinked back tears and nodded to myself. We're fine.

"Okay, I love you." I said as I wiped my eyes.
