(A/N) Sorry again for being a day late. I was in a 12 hour car ride and didn't have the ability to update.

-----------------

The hospital stay was long. Well, not as long as it could at been at least. The plan was for Iyuka to stay with Irina and Karasuma until Nagisa was able to leave, but she requested she stay. Nobody had the heart to tell her no after what she had been through-- not that the hospital staff knew, they just knew the Akabane family wanted her to stay and the Akabanes being the Akabanes they were in no place to refuse.

Iyuka stayed by Nagisa most of the time, seeing as he was the most healed, and therefore the strongest at that point in time. Karma was sleeping a lot, recovering as fast as he could, but with the torture Takaoka put him through it would take a while.

Nagisa would be let out after one more day. The doctor, Akihiko Kyoma, was checking up on him had been sworn to secrecy about Nagisa's snake side. He was a kind, understanding man. It turned out he used to work at a children's hospital, and saw many kids with horrible disorders coming in with scars and bruises from abusive parents. When he heard the transformation had been forced on Nagisa by his father, he swore to them right then and there he wouldn't tell a soul, and turned off the cameras in Nagisa's room as well.

Iyuka liked Akihiko-sensei. He was shorter than average, around 160 centimeters. The average height for men his age, which Iyuka guessed to be somewhere in his sixties, was around 170 centimeters. He also lacked strong muscles and didn't look like he would be able to drag her anywhere.

She was young, but she wasn't dumb. Iyuka noticed she was scared of strangers now. She felt scared whenever she was away from one of her parents. She felt better next to Nagisa since he was more capable at the moment, but she was still fine next to Karma.

After what happened was picked up by the police, someone came in to Nagisa's room.

Iyuka hated him the moment she saw him.

He was buff and tall, he had some facial hair, and he was wearing something which was padded like police do.

He reminded her of Takaoka.

When he walked over to Nagisa, she nearly cried.

"Stay away from Papa!" She cried out, but she kept herself hidden on the other side of the hospital bed.

Right after him both Irina and Karasuma walked in, and Iyuka sprinted over to Irina.

"Irina-obaa-chan, Tada-ojii-san please keep him away from Papa! I don't want him to hurt Papa!" She pleaded.

The man looked bewildered, but left when he was waved out by Karasuma.

"I'll talk to my son. You're clearly scaring my Granddaughter. She's just been through trauma, I'll take it from here." Karasuma explained.

The man nodded and was out of the room.

"Is- Is he gone?" Iyuka asked. Irina nodded and held the girl close before bringing her to sit by Nagisa, who had woken up the moment the man came in. He wrapped his own arms around his daughter.

"I'm here sweetie, he won't hurt me. Do you want Irina-obaa-chan to take you to stay with Daddy while I talk to the ministry about what happened?" Nagisa calmly questioned. Iyuka nodded slowly before she was passed off to her grandmother to go wait with Karma while the strong looking men were in the room.

Nagisa sighed when she was out of the room.

"I'm guessing that's not the only thing she reacts to after what happened." Karasuma noted.

Nagisa nodded. "She doesn't like to be without me or Karma for very long, and she will start to panic if she's alone for longer than seven minutes or so. She's been nervous around anyone she doesn't know, and will burst into tears if she sees someone who has a similar build to Takaoka. That bastard, hurting my daughter like this. I wish I could have put him through even more pain." Nagisa hissed the last part, his slitted eyes revealing themselves for a moment.

Karasuma put a supportive hand on his son's fluffy hair.

"I saw a picture of his corpse, you sure did a number on him. I only wish the people at the facility had been competent enough to keep him there." He sighed. "Though I am required to ask you a few questions on what happened. Since Takaoka was once a part of the ministry and his grudge for you stems back from E Class we took the case from the regular police force."

Nagisa nodded in understanding.

"I'm glad it's you asking me questions. Certain details are going to have to be... altered. The camera's in this room are off as well. Akihiko-sensei has been very nice to me and has sworn not to tell anyone about my snake side."

Karasuma smiled.

"I'm glad you are all okay. I couldn't bear to lose you three."

Nagisa returned the happy expression.

"I'm glad we can all go home."
