"sadness", what a funny word for an emotion so great.
an emotion full of hurt,
and loss,
and mourning,
and pain.
sadness is the word used when you talk about missing someone,
after missing the sun after a long week of rain,
after mourning the loss of love,
after thinking about the "once was" or the "might have been"
emotions are such a significant part of us and all we can do is name them.
we name them with such insignificant letters in hopes of justifying the feelings they bring us.
no matter what we call it, no word will ever be able to perfectly encompass that emptiness that sadness brings us.
