Ariella's P. O. V:

I sit at the work bench with Merlin the Physician's Quarters the next morning, after Gaius and the court went try and tell Uther his wife is a troll, as we flip through the magic book to find something that could help us.

Gaius says as he paces back and forth, "Uther must be enchanted. It's the only explanation."

"Which is why we have to find a way to break it," I say, as we briefly glance up at him.

Gaius tells us, "You won't find anything in your magic books. Troll enchantments are too strong."

Merlin asks as his uncle faces is, "Then, what are we going to do?"

He steps over to us as he says, "You must speak to the Great Dragon." Merlin and I sigh at this. "If there's a way to break Catrina's hold on Uther, he will know it. But, be careful; dragons and trolls have been close allies in the past."

Merlin and I leave for the dragon's cave, while being careful to avoid the guards on the way. When we get there, Merlin and I tell Kilgarrah everything that's happened, but by the time we've finished, the dragon is laughing his scaly head off, as though this was all funny to him.

Merlin and I make a gesture with our hands for him to hurry up with his laughing, but Kilgarrah continues.

I seethe at him, "This isn't funny!"

"Oh, it is!" He says, still laughing. "It is! The thought of Uther marrying a troll! Was it a very public affair?!"

"Public enough!" This just makes him laugh more.

I glare daggers at him as Merlin says seriously, "Don't laugh! If she can't be stopped, Arthur won't become king! Albion will never be born!"

His laughter dying down, Kilgarrah says sincerely, "I'm sorry. You are right, of course."

"How can we break the enchantment?" I demand to know.

"These are not trifling tricks. Troll Magic is very powerfol," Kilgarrah tells us.

"There has to be a way!" Merlin says pleadingly.

"The only way you could break this enchantment is if Uther were to cry Tears of True Remorse," Kilgarrah explains.

Merlin and I nod before looking at each other in confusion. Then, we look back at Kilgarrah. Merlin asks, "How do we do that?"

"That I can't answer. Uther's heart is cold as stone. He's never been sorry for anything."

"Thanks... we think," Merlin says before we start to leave, but Kilgarrah stops us.

"Young Witch, Young Warlock, it was sometime ago you two promised to set me free. The help I give is not unconditional," Kilgarrah reminds us with narrowed amber eyes.

Merlin and I nod once in understanding, before we walk out of the cave.

Back in Gaius's chambers, Merlin tells him, pacing, "The dragon said that he had to cry Tears of Remorse to break the enchantment."

Gaius says, "Well, that's not going to be easy. Uther's heart is closed to everyone."

I say, "Well, not everyone. Arthur."

Gaius says as he gets up and Merlin halts his pacing, "Then, there's only one course of action we can take. Uther must see his son die."

Just then, there's a knock on the door. I give Merlin a look and he nods, rushing up to his chambers as he's still wanted by Catrina.
