- This book is the first of its planned series. It's a mature work. I've been obsessed with this brilliance ever since I first laid eyes on it. The writing is truly remarkable. I still feel this should be traditionally published and even transformed into a movie/TV show. It's that good! The way she brings the mafia to life is one I've yet to see anywhere else. While it may not be traditional to some, it gives it a new light, one that really focuses on the mafia's aspect of family. I laughed and cried. The author does fantastic at causing the reader to develop connections with each character, both good and toward the eviler ones. Everything just pops! It tugs your heart, makes you question, and gives you doses of laughter. This masterpiece isn't one to dismiss. (angelusanimi27)
