This book is an adventure that takes a girl from grounds of grief to cloud nine. It outlines all the events that occur in between. The book revolves around a girl named Allonia that lives with her supporting father, Mr.Shah. The book involves many world problems that we might not be realizing. It is a story that has love, hatred, friendship and some relationships that don't have a name.

- The author does an excellent job showing us the harsh reality of war. Set in Syria, every chapter of this story is a suspense as we worry for the characters' survival. (DianaTheThird)
