"Holt will kill us if he knows we've been slacking off on our paperwork." You tried to stop Jake from leaving early but he just ignored you, as usual, and continued to cockily stroll towards the elevator.

"Paperwork schmakerwork, we caught the bad guys. Twelve keys of coke off the street thanks to us, and I think we need to celebrate." Begrudgingly you joined Jake, telling him that if you got caught you were going to do all in your power to throw him under the bus. He told you to stop being such a worrier before pulling out his wallet and flicking through the few notes that sat within.

"What were you thinking? Hit a bar, catch a movie?"

"...fourteen, fifteen. Nope, arcade."

The elevator doors screeched open and Jake's face dropped, he slyly pulled his hood over his head and briskly walked past an unknowing Holt, swiftly followed by yourself.

"You're risking your job to go and play Pac-Man?!"

"Firstly, it's Dig Dug they had it installed last week. Secondly, let your hair down a bit, we'll be back before Holt even realises we aren't there." He kept his hood up to shield himself from the bitter New York rain as he energetically marched towards the subway entrance.

"What would Amy say if she saw you right now?"

"Oh my gosh, how weird for me to run into you whilst I'm visiting my family out of town. What's that, you intercepted a major drug run and kept the city safe from narcotics! Go and have some fun, get yourself some tokens on me!" Jake had almost perfected his Amy mocking voice, not quite what she would say though. "It will be fun, trust me."

"Of all the people in the precinct I would trust with making smart decisions, I don't think you would be my first port of call." He looked up at you offended before realising that common sense probably wasn't his forte.

"Terry?" He asked.

"Terry." He agreed.

"Are we at least going to be back before we're meant to finish our shift?" Jake checked where a watch would sit on his wrist.

"Who am I kidding, I can't afford a watch. Yeah sure, It's only going to be a few games, I promise, scouts honour."

"That isn't true is it?" You asked Jake as your train slowly crept into the platform.

"Maybe. If I'm not in tomorrow you know where to find me."
