i take out my phone as i walk into the staff room. "shift over?" kaizen asks. "yeah, just finished," i say. i bring my phone to my ear, hearing the rings as i wait for olivia to answer. "hey!" olivia answers. "hi," i smile, "are you home?" "i am," olivia responds, "are you coming now?" "yeah, i just finished work," i say, picking up my keys. i wave to kaizen, pushing open the door. "how was it?" olivia asks. "pretty good," i say, unlocking my car and getting in. "can we facetime?" olivia asks. "i'll be at yours in five, but sure," i say. i accept olivia's facetime request.
"i also need to show you something when you get here," olivia says. "is it anything bad?" i ask. "no," olivia chuckles, "when are you here?" "two minutes," i estimate, "but it could be one minute if i-" "don't even think about going any faster, y/n," olivia says, "i can see through your windows, you're going fast enough as it is." "thought so," i sigh.
i lay in olivia's bed after i make us dinner. "hey, wanna know something weird that happened at work?" i say. olivia spins around on her chair, facing me, "what happened?" "i got bit by a spider," i chuckle. "are you okay? did it hurt?" she asks. "yeah, it was just a sharp sting, it was fine after," i say. "well, at least you're okay now," olivia smiles, spinning back around. "yeah, what're you doing now?" i ask. "journalling my day," olivia says. "can i see?" i ask. "no," olivia laughs, "it's a diary, i'm not letting you read it." "it says you wanna break up with me, right?" i chuckle. "how'd you know? it was the first sentence," olivia giggles. i laugh, and olivia closes her book standing up. "i'm kidding," she says, falling onto the bed. "hey, i might post this," i say, picking up my phone and showing olivia the picture i had taken in the morning. "with the sweatshirt?" olivia laughs. "yeah, i think it's a cute valentine's post," i smile. "post it," olivia smiles back.
