(A/N: Haizz! The story of arc 3 begins! I had started reading a new CN novel called Thrive in the Catastrophe, it's a zombie apocalypse themed novel and it's a great read. It inspired me (but is not he main inspiration) for this arch. Of course it's BL!! ☆*・゜゚・*(^O^)/*・゜゚・*☆

There is a translator working on the novel currently and you can find it on NU. Even though it only says 26 chapters, the translator has up to 35 chapters the other 9 chapters are pw locked and the translator gives out the pw on the previous chapters. You should check it out if you've read Dominion's End, or Rebirth of the MC (Zombie part). It has a more realistic take on instead of supernatural powers like fireballs and other things.

I'm planning to add more mature scenes in this arc! Just a heads up for you guys. Thank you for reading, voting, and commenting! I hope you enjoy the chapter!)

[Hehe, host~ You've completed your second mission! ヾ(≧∇≦*)ゝ]

Bao Bao looked at his host, who was looking at the silver pendant in his hands.

[Host... do you need some time to yourself?]

Ains opened the silver pendant, "En."

[Bao Bao will always be here for you... you know?]

"Mmn. I know."

Instead of leaving, Bao Bao threw himself at Ains.

"You can hold Bao Bao, Bao Bao doesn't mind, host."

Ains froze for a moment before the corners of his mouth curved. He softly whispered, "Mhm. Thank you."

Ains hugged Bao Bao close to his chest as he laid on the bed. He gripped the pendant tightly in his hands. I wonder how he is now? Ains closed his eyes and fell into a deep slumber. In his dreams were his memories with Long Zixi and Regnier. Ains felt his heartache, as if it had been torn out of his chest.

Although these memories were the most happiest of his lives, they were like a double edged knife. It also cut into him deeply as he revisited his memories. Even though he shed no tears, inside he had cried an ocean's worth.

Ains remained asleep for a much longer this time around, he slept for five days before he had collected his feelings.

[Host, are you all better now?]

Ains, "En, much better."

Bao Bao didn't move out of Ains' arms and stayed there as he was informing Ains of the results, [Congratulations! You have successfully completed the main task and the two side missions!

Because the world was a level E, you received 250 points for your efforts. Side missions totaled to 800 points altogether, making a total of 1,050 points earned! Host, your new total amount available is 1,325 points. ✩⃛∗·⁽⁽◞(˃◟̵◞̵˂⁎=͟͟͞͞ ⁎˃◟̵◞̵˂)◟⁾⁾·∗✩⃛

Would you like to open the store?]

Ains, "No."

Ains knew what he wanted. Currently, he didn't have enough points for what he wanted yet. So, instead of looking at the store he preferred to do something more productive.

Ains, "System, what are the skills available?"

[Host here are the skills that you can choose to learn from. The other options are still available, there's only one new option to your choices.]

A skill screen appears before Ains.

{Skills:

Cooking

Communications

Acting

Singing

Marksmanship}

Ains clicked on 'Marksmanship' and the screen disappears. Just as Ains is about to sent away Bao Bao shouts. [Bao Bao will be awaiting your return host~!]

Ains softly nodded his head and closed his eyes. This time he was scent to a firing range. A mechanical voice announces, "Here you will learn how to shoot many different kinds of weapons."

A large weapon rack appears besides Ains, there are many different kinds of long range weapons on there. There's pistols, rifles, bows/arrows, rocket launchers, machine guns, and shotguns.

"You will not be able to leave this field until you have mastered all the weapons."

---

Ains spent sixteen years inside of the space, mastering all types of projectile weapons. As soon as he got out a white ball flies towards him.

As soon as he got out a white ball flies towards him.

[Wuuu~ Host Bao Bao missed you so much! Bao Bao was so lonely, there wasn't anyone to talk to!]

Ains, "Where's your Jie jie?"

[She's out doing a mission with her host~]

Ains, "Oh."

Bao Bao sighed, maybe he should convince his host next time to get the communicator skill. Then maybe his host will be more talkative and actually converse with him.

[Bao Bao congratulates host, on learning your second skill! How do you feel?]

Ains rubbed his ears, "My hearing has finally returned."

[...] Just what happened inside of there?

Ains, "..."

[*ahem* Are you ready to transfer into your next world?]

Ains, "Mmn."

[Initializing transfer... 45 seconds until transfer... 30 seconds... 20... 10... 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0!]

Ains' vision suddenly went back and he felt his body become extremely light.

Ains breathed in a air full of dust and coughed. When he opened his eyes he was in a classroom with the chairs and desks knocked over. There was scatter papers everywhere in the room, and blood smears and bloody hand prints on the walls. It looked as if whoever was here left in a great hurry.

Ains also noticed body parts and guts on the floor. There was a blood trail leading to the door of the classroom, but where it lead to. Ains didn't know as the door had been barricaded with a stick and a couple of desks. Everything looked extremely blurry to him. He had to squint to make out some details, but even that didn't help.

Ains rubbed his eyes, maybe dust got into his eye and that's why his eyesight wasn't good. Nope! As it turns out even if he rubbed his eyes until they popped, his eyesight didn't change. Ains saw a pair of cracked glasses. He picked it up and as he looked through the lens he could actually see far away.

Ains sighed and put on the glasses, it seems the body that he resided in this time had a mild case of myopia*. Just as he stood up, he felt a sharp pain on his leg and looked down. His pants was soaked in blood but he couldn't see the wound.

As he was about to pull up his pants to see the wound, there was a loud scream coming from behind him. He turned around, behind him was a row of glass windows. He looked outside to see a young girl in a school uniform running from the school building, there were five silhouettes chasing her.

(Myopia - nearsightedness.)

The young girl tripped and fell onto the floor, she started crawling away while screaming her head off. The figures chasing her weren't fast but they certainly weren't slow either. Though it seems like their limbs were a little rigid, they could still move it but it was like a stick that couldn't bend at the elbows or knees. There were more figures that came in as if drawn in by her screaming.
