After hearing the plot, Xu XiuLan pursed his lips. The halo in this world is much more prevalent in this world than it had been in the others.

Leave Yidianyuan de Huaduo¹. - 15,000 points

Stop the invasion from the east. - 20,000 points

Help conquer the land to the east. - 25,000 points

Confess his love to Tu HeJian. - 20,000 points>

Xu XiuLan went over his memories which only consisted of him hearing voices, but he couldn't find anything conclusive to tell him how far along in the story they had arrived in.

<Bao Bao, how far along are we in the plot?>

<Uh... Host, let Bao Bao go stalk around. Bao Bao isn't sure.>

<En. Then, find Zuo NaLi first. I want to know what he is up to.>

<Okay, host~>

Bao Bao was happy that his host was once again relying on him, he had missed the feeling of when they were together. He was just about to leave, but then he stopped and looked at his host. He didn't want to leave his baby's side but he had a job to do. He sucked it up and left some words of caution to Xu XiuLan.

<Don't forget to rest well and eat until your full, but don't over eat... But then don't eat to little... Bao Bao doesn't want my baby to starve.>

<En...>

Xu XiuLan gave a small smile and decided not to wave at Bao Bao because he didn't know where the lad was. He waited awhile to make sure that he was all alone before he slumped to the ground. He was very tired and it took every ounce in his body to not collapse before Bao Bao. The time that he had spent with Bao Bao, he could guess just how much stress Bao Bao had been under. He didn't want to add onto it. He closed his eyes as his body was covered in sweat, making the thin cloth stick to his body.

Soon after he laid down, sleep claimed his mind. There he dreamt of the haunting past that he had forgotten. If not for Bao Bao sending him back, he would have long forgotten what kind of a world he had come from. He had been very careless, tasting the droplets of happiness he had let it slipped from his mind everything that had brought him to sign the agreement with Bao Bao in the first place. Xu XiuLan had clung onto the happiness, it was something he had never been able to experience before he came here.

But being thrown the harsh truth, he knew that one day he would have to go back to his world sooner or later. The blissful lives that he had been able to live in the various worlds were nothing but what they simply were, just memories and experiences. He did not belong here. This wasn't his world. Xu XiuLan then recalled what the 'man' had told him, it seemed that no matter where he went, he was ill fated as that 'man' had said.

Bao Bao had flown across town looking for the female lead, Zuo NaLi. He finally reached their residence and clicked his tongue. They indeed were a very wealthy and well off family. If they had just been able to keep their hands where they belonged, they would've had a much prosperous future.

From the plot, Bao Bao had gathered that they had done something they shouldn't have. How else could it explain for their execution, not once but twice? He also felt that Wu QingJue was a ben dan². Did he not suspect Zuo NaLi of anything since his family was accused and rightfully prosecuted? He choose his lover who he had known for less than a year over his friend who has been with him for over eighteen years. Maybe he was too blinded by love to see anything else. Bao Bao shook his head as he wandered around.

While Bao Bao snooped around the residence, he listened to the whispers of gossip as he was looking for Zuo NaLi. Because this world wasn't that in the modern times, he couldn't hack into the surveillance system and into his personal accounts to monitor his activities and had to literally stalk him.

As he listened to the servants, Bao Bao frowned. He quickly found Zuo NaLi and saw that there was another person that was also there with Zuo NaLi. They were having tea together as they talked. Bao Bao sat on the ledge of the window sill and listening to their incessant chatter.

Bao Bao found that the person's attitude seemed a little off. From what he has gathered, shouldn't that 'person' be in love with Zuo NaLi but hadn't come to a realization yet? Why does it seem as if he's just talking with an acquaintance instead of someone he likes? Bao Bao and Xu XiuLan had arrived a month before the ben dan and Zuo NaLi confessed their love to each other.

Bao Bao thought long and hard on the reason why and then his eyes flew wide open.

[Is it because ben dan is a block head like how my host used to be? No... Maybe he's worse.]

Bao Bao touched his chin as he was thinking. He had whispered it to himself but it hadn't been in a quiet voice.

Then he felt like someone was staring at him and he whipped his head to see who it was. His eyes met with two dark brown ones and he froze. How could someone see Bao Bao... unless... Unless it was son-in-law! Bao Bao eyed the man suspiciously and saw that they were still staring at him and felt a little uncomfortable. He turned around to look outside incase the person was looking at something else instead of him.

Nope. There was nothing there.

Bao Bao felt more and more inside that he was correct. But then, that begged the question of how was he able to come to this world? Then it also brought up the issue, what about little bun? Bao Bao decided that he would stay here and observe the two a little more... He wanted to make sure that it was his son-in-law that was shamelessly sitting there and looking at him. But less than ten minutes later, he leaped out of the window and darted off. That man was too scary, he gave Bao Bao the chills when he stared at him as if he was a nice fluffy piece of cake. It was very different from the mind numbing and provoking gaze that his son-in-law would usually give to him. Especially that smile that was on their lips. That was one, that he did not want to see. As if his ass was on fire, Bao Bao flew like a bullet and darted to where Xu XiuLan was.

The man who was sitting and enjoying tea had on a bewitching smile as he watched the blonde elf disappear. He whispered softly, "So you're here..."

Zuo NaLi, who was sitting on the side covered his cheek with his hands. The person before him was really too... Too handsome when they smiled. He laughed inwardly as he recalled about his future, it would soon be time for him to be married off. Zuo NaLi joked to himself that he felt that the only person who would be fit for that role, could only be 'him'.
