CURD AND SORRY

If her look could kill, he would have been buried five feet under the marshy forest ground by now. Arnav was sure of that. Nothing good turned out after their talk, both had justified their parts but were too strong-willed to back out even a little.

Maybe this wasn't an issue to back out just like that. Hence Arnav decided to create a peace from his side, the way he could, and earn a chance to be trustworthy before her.

"Vedav, make arrangements for our construction team to return soon and safely." Arnav asked his PA.

"Sir, are you sure? I mean besides them it's just us." His PA said.

"Are you afraid ?." Arnav asked, smirking at him.

Well, Mr. Vedav was shivering from cold and now shrinking at her scrutinising gaze even. Arnav glanced at Mahira who stood at the adjacent tent, with her hands tightly crossed across her chest, glaring at them. She was still wearing his trench coat.

"Vedav. GO." Arnav ordered sternly.

"Yes sir".

Before Arnav could turn his way to her and take a few steps she stormed inside. He couldn't help but smile. Raking his hands over his messy hair he groaned.

"The hell. What has gotten into me?." He sighed at himself.

Intrigued by her attitude is one reason, but it wasn't just that.

If Mahira wasn't a teacher who constantly asked her children to not use any bad words, she would have showered some good profanities at him.

She huffed and sighed while she stormed her way back inside.

"He's so hot and handsome. Now no one can deny that." She heard her friend Anusha, and couldn't help but scowl.

"No he isn't, " Mahira announced before going towards them.

"What are you talking about, Mahi?." Anusha asked her with a worried face while she glanced at their other friends confused.

"He's just a crooked minded rich business man. That's it. He just acts so charming, so he could take us over. No way. He can play his game with people who would fall for that. Not me." Mahira said and took a deep breath in after she was finished, holding the coat she was wearing tighter around her.

Her friends had a deep scowl on their face. One in particular was just about to cry and shout in anger. And that confused Mahira, she shrinked.

"What happened?". Mahira asked. Why were they all so sad for Mr. Arrogant?

"What happened to you Mahi?." Anusha asked her with a deep scowl.

"When did you meet him?. I didn't even get to see him." Her other friend Reema asked, she was this close to cry or rather shout at Mahi.

"Are you gonna cry Reema, what happened?. And do you wanna meet him, go and meet, but actually we all did meet him. Isn't?." Mahira said sheepishly, not understanding what was happening there.

"What?. Who are you talking about?. We were talking about Reema's groom. Her fiance. Her wedding is fixed and Thejus her fiance is coming next week for the engagement. We were talking about Thejus." Anusha said, gaping at her.

"What?."

Shit, shit, so much for keeping that Mr.Arrogant in mind. Not everything is about him, Mahi. She chided herself while clutching the coat that she was wearing, and then she glanced at the coat.

"Do not fight the cold. Fight me." She remembered what he said. His smell filled her, the trenchcoat was his and it smelled so much like him. He acted like he wasn't on the bad side. Nope, he's just a rich bad buisness man. That's it. She assured herself.
