My super family

Pt 18

I wake up alone in a hospital bed yet again. I look down to see my ankle propped up and my arm in a splint.
I blink rapidly trying not to fall back asleep.
But sleep takes over.
I wake back up and hear some familiar voices arguing outside.

"Hey" I say in a raspy voice trying to get dad and steves attention.

"She's okay look" dad yells and steve looks in at me, once he realizes I'm awake they both run in

"Y/n! Oh my god kid" dad sighs and they both get really close to me. Dad hugs me on the side without the bad arm

"Dad what happened" I start to cry seeing him so sad

"It's all over now y/n don't worry" he strokes my hair kissing my head

"Im sorry" I cry

"No no y/n none of this is your fault. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you" dad wipes my tears and tries to hold back his own tears

"I don't blame you dad. You were just doing your job" I give him a tissue

I look over at steve who looks like he hasn't slept in days. The look in his eyes screams regret.
I really don't know what to say to him at this point. Where was he?

"Kid I love you Okay. I'll get you out of here as fast as I can" dad holds my hand and kisses it before getting up
He leaves and steve trails after him
I close my eyes just wanting this to be over.

I wake up and the doctor talks to me about medicines I'll be on and other things. He puts the next dosage of pain meds in and I fall back asleep.
When I wake up there are loud voices in my room. I can't open my eyes but I can hear them. It's dad and pops arguing

"No tony you don't get to say that!" Steve yells

"Why! Why not steve?! I said you left your family. We are your family!" dad yells back

"You left her! I told you that you could keep her safe next thing I hear she's missing?!" Steve yells

"You also said y/n and I would be okay. Now look what happened... where were you anyway Steve? Care to tell" dad asks Steve seriously

"I told you. Orders from Shield. Hydra agents were found I had to. Take them out" Steve sighs

They stay in silent for a moment.

"Listen. I know you're mad. I should've been here and I wasn't. It was a mistake. But I love you and y/n. Give me another chance. I'm willing to move foreword" steve says but dad still looks very mad

"I give you another chance" I smile at steve and he gives a happy half smile at me

"See. We can do this" Steve says holding my hand

"Come on dad. You know you love him" I grin trying to convince him. Dad can't help but smile

"Fine you dorks" he rolls his eyes

It's been a week. I'm finally getting out of the hospital. I got to see pepper and she's okay. Rhodey and happy came to see me all the time but steve has been pretty distant. Dads been working to expose everything and fix damages in Florida. As of right now I have a sprained wrist and a broken leg
Happy takes me to the airport.
I go on the jet alone to New York.
I text abbey the whole way and explain to her what happened.
Finally the plane lands at the airport.
I walk to the family area where your family picks you up.

"Steve" I smile and he looks up at me and gets up quickly

"Hey princess" he gives me a soft smile

"Nice disguise" I wink looking at his hat and sunglasses

"Nice cast. I know a few people who would love to sign It" he winks

"Like who?" I ask

"Oh nobody" he says suspiciously

He lifts me up and carries my crutches.
We get to the tower and go up the elevator after saying hi to all the staff downstairs.
When the elevator doors open I don't think I've ever been so happy.

"Welcome home!!" A bunch of voices yell popping confetti
I look around to see all the avengers in our living room.

"Hey guys!" I giggle as they huddle around giving me hugs
Even Thor is here!

"I missed you most" aunt nat smiles. Her hair is longer and very red as always

"Not true I definitely missed you more than she did y/n" Clint ruffles my hair

"Whatever guys I missed you both" I smile

"So guess what?" Steve looks down at me

"What?" I ask

"You better get used to seeing them cause they live here now!" Steve smiles

"Really!!" I laugh as Thor picks me up

"We are here to stay lady y/n!" Thor booms

"Good. I love you guys" I sigh hugging Thor's neck

"Sorry am I late?" Dads voice comes from behind us
Everyone turns to see tony.

"Tony!" Everyone happily cheers

"Great to see everybody. Make yourselves at home" he chuckles

"So how bout we sign that cast?" Steve asks slinging his arm around dad

"Yeah!" Nat smiles

After everyone signs it we sit and eat dinner together. As a family. After dinner we chill and talk in the living room.
Nat is on her phone, Clint is napping on the couch, Bruce is reading, Steve and tony are talking in the kitchen, and I'm teaching Thor how to play the wii!
It was a while before we all went to bed. I think everything will be okay now :)

"Night y/n" I hear 6 different times until my light is turned off.

I love my family.
