My super family

Pt 21

I wake up smelling sweet cinnamon. I look out my window to see snow lightly falling.
It's thanksgiving!!
I rub my eyes and stretch before hopping off my bed. I open my door hearing Christmas music softly play.
I walk in the kitchen to see tony and Steve, dads half asleep drinking coffee and pops is making cinnamon rolls.

"Morning." I smile and they both look at me

"Morning princess" steve mutters and dad just opens his arms for me to hug him
I have a suspicion even though pops is here. Dad doesn't sleep.

"Happy thanksgiving dad" I say hugging him.

"Happy thanksgiving" he says and I sit down in the chair next to him

"So Steve when did you learn how to cook?" I ask

"Mostly my mother. Before I went to war and such" he says checking the oven with a small smile

"Cool" I say playing with my sleeves

"Morning my favorite family" nat says walking in kissing my head

"Where's everyone else?" I ask after hugging her

"Well last I knew Thor went to the workout room, clint and Bruce probably asleep. I just want some cinnamon rolls" nat smiles mischievously opening the oven

"Hey! Don't" Steve exclaims hitting her hand with the oven mitt

"Sorry mom" she laughs which makes me laugh

"Shhh my head" dad points to his forehead taking a drink of coffee

"Hangover funtimes" nat pats his shoulders and grins

"Steves lucky it has no affect on him" dad shakes his head

"Hey where's the food?" Clint says walking into the kitchen

"It's too early for dinner clint" nat rolls her eyes

"Sad to say it. I can't be here for dinner" clint sighs

"What why?" I frown

"I have plans" he says simply

"I knew it. Clint has a girlfriend" dad points

"Haha funny tony" Clint shakes his head

"Well Happy thanksgiving!" I give clint a hug

"So who's making dinner?" Nat asks

"My chef is" dad says nonchalantly

" chef?" Steve looks confused

"Just hired him! Now you don't have to cook honey" dad kisses his cheek and puts his mug in the sink

"Rolls are done!" Pops smiles taking them out of the oven

"Ahh! Gimme" nat cuts one and then realizes its really hot and it's burning her

"Here's a plate" I laugh as she waves her hands around cooling them off

The rest of the day I didn't eat since I wanted to grub hard for thanksgiving so nat and I Make a bet to see how long we can go without eating.

"I'm going to pick up lady Jane. Anyone want to come?" Thor says walking in

"Why would we go? You can't carry 2 people" nat laughs

"Well I um guess you're right haha" Thor smiles
Thor leaves and the food starts getting brought in

"Nat! Oh my gosh look" my mouth nearly waters just looking at all the amazing food

"Y/n get the buzzer please" dad says watching tv behind me

"Who is it?" I say in the buzzer which connects to the speaker in the lobby

"Nick fury. And Maria hill" I hear nick say

"Come on up!" I smile

Soon Thor is back with Jane and everyone is getting settled at the table.
At the head of the table it's dad on his left is pops and I'm on dads right. Thor sits next to me on Thor's right is Jane, next to her is Bruce. On the end of the table is nick then Maria then an empty seat then nat then pops.

"Dad what about the empty seat?" I ask looking at it

"I believe that's where I sit" Rhodey says walking in

"Rhodey!!" I smile getting up to hug him

"I'm happy to see everyone" he smiles around

Dinner was amazing! Everything tasted so good I couldn't stop eating! Thor challenged me on a dessert eating contest but he won. Dad drank about a whole case of beer, pops didn't approve but let's be honest dad is funny when he's drunk.
After cleaning up we sit and play games forever.
Slowly our guests leave but Jane stays.

"We should watch the grinch" I sigh getting bored of games

"What is the grinch?" Thor asks

"Oh my gosh we have to watch it" dad gasps

"Jarvis can you put on the grinch" I ask and it happens

We all try to fit on the couch having one big cuddle puddle. I fall asleep on pops hearing dad trying to sing you're a mean one mister grinch.
