While dad gives directions to Mrs Schmidt I pack our small bags into the car.
Dad says we'll probably be there for a week or so.
I love that dad cracked time travel.. but it's scary as hell.
"Okay we're ready" I smile
"Alright! Let's go find my husband" dad smiles putting on his sunglasses
"Steve's gone for one night and you have to go find him" I roll my eyes
"He doesn't know what could happen.. time travel isn't something to mess with." Dad says sternly
"Unless of course your name is Anthony Edward Stark" I shrug messing with him
"That's exactly correct. Don't forget that" dad chuckles
It's a long drive but before I know it we're at the compound.
The Audi rolls straight up to the doors.
Steve is waiting for us.
"Hey pops!" I smile jumping out of the car to hug him
Dad gets out and looks at Steve.
"Why the long face? Wait let me guess he turned into a baby" dad says seriously
"Among other things yeah. What are you guys doing here?" Steve asks hugging me
Dad walks to the trunk of the car
"That's the EPR paradox. Instead of pushing Lang through time you might've wound up pushing time through Lang. It's tricky. Dangerous. Somebody shoulda warned you about it" dad says sassily
"You did" Steve says going with it
"Oh, did I? Thank god I'm here. Regardless I fixed it. Fully functioning time space GPS. I know I said it wouldn't work but I am me. And turns out it's extremely hard to spend time away from your hot husband" dad smiles and shows off his space GPS
"I'm glad you're here Tony" Steve chuckles a little
"We got a shot at these stones. But I gotta tell you I'm worried we'll lose what we have here... and we have to keep what we got at all costs honey... and maybe not die trying." Dad says
"Nobody is dying!" I say sternly
"Sounds like a deal. We will keep what we have Tony" Steve smiles
"Wait! One more thing! You forgot this.." dad smiles handing the shield back to Steve after having it this whole time
"Tony..." Steve says hesitantly
"Why? Come on he made it for you. Plus I had to bring it or else Danny would've chewed it like a frisbee" dad chuckles making Steve laugh
"Thank you honey" Steve smiles putting it on his arm
"Just don't tell the team I brought you a surprise, I didn't bring one for the whole team... we are getting the whole team yeah?" Dad asks
"We're working on that right now" Steve says nodding
We go inside.
Steve takes us to the lab where they have been working
"No Scott don't touch that!"
That voice is so familiar..
"Steve... is Bruce here?" I gasp
"Yeah! Well- y/n wait!"
I run ahead to go hug my favorite brainiac
"Bruce!" I yell running into the lab
"Y/n!" Bruce smiles... but he sure doesn't look like Bruce.
