Friday morning.
"Y/n get up" I hear steve knocking on my door
I've been up for a while now thinking of the best excuse to stay home. Times like these I wish I was as talented as ferris Buller.
So I quickly cover myself up with all the blankets I can wearing a sweat suit. Gaining a hot sweat I know I can trick steve.
"Pops can you come in?" I ask in the best weak voice I can
The door opens and steve comes in. Messy hair, tank top, coffee in hand.
"What's wrong?!" He asks worriedly
"I think I have a fever" I say with a small cough
I take Steve's hand and put it on my forehead
"Jeez you're burning" steve takes his hand away
"I think I better-
"Stay home yeah of course. Just let me know if you need anything okay?" He nods at me covering me up more
"Thanks pops" I give a weak smile
"Don't let your dad find out. He'll kill you" pops laughs and then leaves
"Yes!" I smile texting the group chat which is me abbey and Justin that I won't be at school.
Then I text nat who should be awake by now.
"Hey I'm home today we should train more" I text her and wait for my response. I knew dad would be busy in the lab so I take advantage of my day off
*ting!*
"Sounds good to me. You learn quick kiddo" Nat texts back
"How about 8:30?" I text back
"It's a plan. Mind if clint comes?"
"Not at all :)"
Till then I get up and take off my sweaty clothes. I put on adidas pants and a T shirt.
I sneak out of my room and go to the kitchen. Steve had gone to the cafe just like every morning to get a coffee and sketch in his drawing pad.
I make some breakfast and by the time I'm done it's 8:25.
"No I'm sorry I need the finest diamond for this ring I don't care how much" I hear dad come out the elevator on the phone.
I quickly duck under the table
"Ring?" I ask myself
"Can I talk to your manager please." Dad waits a moment
"Paula finally! Jarvis put it on speaker"
"Tony Stark! It's been years" a lady says
"I know I missed you. But I have to ask a favor" dad says with a peppy almost nervous voice
"Okay What is it?" She asks
"I need an engagement ring. And if all goes well a wedding ring too." Dad sighs happily
"Anthony! That's amazing" she muses over the news
And I almost pass out! A WEDDING RING!??
"It has to be perfect Paula" dad chuckles
"Trust me honey it will be. Only the best for you dear. Who's the one?"
"Uh steve. Steven Grant Rogers." Dad says proudly
"I'll send you pictures of what I'm thinking you tell me how you like them. You won't be disappointed!" She says and hangs up
I watch as he happily strides down the hall to his room.
I almost scream out of excitement.
I rush out from under the table and run to my room as quiet as possible. I text nat that I'll be be late.
I jump on my bed and dial abbeys number.
"come on.... pick up pleaseee!!"
No answer
I dial Justin.
"Y/n?? It's second period I should be in chemistry right now" Justin freaks
