Pt 75

The next morning I wake up as usual with Danny at my feet snoring away.

"Come on pup. Time to get up" I yawn petting his soft fur as he picks his head up and sets it back down

I put on my slippers and walk to the kitchen. Breakfast is already set out for me with a note

Went to tend to the "food utopia" eat up kid. Feed Monty!

I couldn't tell if the note was from pops or dad but maybe it was both.

"Monty!" I call for him as I shake his food dish.
He comes striding down the hall looking for his food. I set it down for him to eat

I look out the window to see the two of them talking in the yard. They look happy so I decide not to bother them.

I sit and eat as Danny stares up at me begging for some of my food.
I throw him a piece of sausage before finishing up.

On my way back upstairs I notice a closet is open that isn't normally left open. I open it to find a bunch of boxes.
One has the word BARF on it.

"Weird?" I whisper grabbing the box off the shelf.

When I open it I find dads invention that projects memories from the mind. Something tells me I should use it again

I take it downstairs and sit on the couch.
I place it on my head and close my eyes.
I think for a moment and try to think of what I should envision.

The only thing that comes to my head is peter and Harley...

I open my eyes to see myself teaching Peter how to dance so he would be ready for homecoming..
"See you've got it!" I encourage him as he dances
I laugh as he stumbles over his own feet.. it feels like that was just yesterday

Then I see peter Harley and I running around in the rain just for fun while Steve and dad were gone. We were having so much fun...

My eyes begin to water.

As my mind wanders I see the night Harley and I rode his motorcycle to the ice cream shop. And when Peter called tony dad for the first time. And when Harley and I made dinner with each other. and when we all went out to eat together as cute sibs. playing just dance competitively and beating Steve at Mario kart

By now I'm crying, hearing their voices again made me realize I'm not over it.

Then my mind wanders to the sad memories..

"Dad y/n tell me you are not on that ship" I hear Harley say as I relive the moments of dad and I on the alien spaceship.

My vision goes blurry from the tears so I close my eyes letting the sobs fall from my mouth..

When I open my eyes again I see Peter.

"I don't feel so good"

I visualize the moments we held him as he slowly faded away. all over again and my heart breaks...

I fling the device off my head and sob.

I bring my knees to my chest and lie on the couch crying

I hear the door open and Danny runs to the door barking.

"It's alright Danny it's just us!" Steve chuckles greeting the dog

"Do you think y/n is up yet?" Dad asks Steve
