After dad left pops showed me where my room was and all of my stuff was already there. I was about to change my clothes when I get a phone call.
"Hello?"
"Hey kid it's me" dad says anxiously
"Miss me already!?" I laugh
"Very funny. But hey I need help" he says frantically
"What's up? You don't sound good?" I ask
"I'm gonna propose to steve" he sighs
"Oh my god! Hold on" I say understanding his worry now
I hurry and video chat him putting him on my big screen. He answers and the screen shows him in the lab in a tank top and sweats.
"What are you doing in the lab?" I ask watching him put on goggles
"Making something" he says in a concentrated tone
"Well I can see that!" I laugh but he continues to work
"Hold on I'll show it in a second" he says popping a few blueberries in his mouth
"Show what?" I ask but before I get an answer he powers up some machine he probably made
Afterwards he turns it off and uses gloves to pick something up. On the table I can see one of his old arc reactors unassembled.
"What's the arc reactor doing out?" I ask
"Ready to see it!?" He says excitedly
"Yeah of course!!" I smile with wide eyes watching him grab a small object with tweezers
As it gets closer to the camera I can see now it looks like a ring
"Dad is that..."
"A ring? Yes it is." He says proudly
"It's... gorgeous" I smile looking at the gorgeous ring.
It's darker with accents of blue there are small slots for diamonds which dad will probably add next.
"Is that made from your?-
"Arc reactor? Yes." He interrupts me and examines it closely
"That's amazing!? Oh my god he's gonna love it!"I start to tear up thinking about it
"I also condensed parts of it into 2 diamonds and got one regular one" he smiles showing me the bright blue diamonds
"Woah.. wait a second? But I heard you on the phone buying a ring that one time?" I confront him
"That would be the engagement ring. This is the actual band" he shrugs pulling out the small velvet box
"It's like giving him an actual piece of your heart!?!! Oh my god. You're such a romantic" I gush and he just rolls his eyes
"I am not a romantic" he huffs
"Okay then what's your plan on proposing to steve?" I ask
"Well see I got us reservations at a place in central and I closed off the whole park. It'll be nighttime with the sun going down and it's gonna look amazing- okay fine I'm a romantic" he smirks
"So when is this going down?" I ask watching him fixate the diamonds
"Well today is what Friday? So tomorrow night" he shrugs
"Tell me I get to come too!?" I smile
"Of course. You and everyone else" he smiles back at me
