A/N - This tiny little snapshot chapter is based on the song 'All About You' by McFly. I hope you all enjoy it.
You were completely and utterly content. It was a realisation that had hit you with all the power of a freight train, and God, if it hadn't set your stomach alive with butterflies. You had never expected to be so effortlessly happy in a relationship, too scared of the life you had to lead to let anyone close enough to love you, but with Wanda it all seemed easy.
A few days after your realisation, you were humming away in the kitchen, stirring the soup you'd been working on for the last hour or so. A throat clearing made you jump slightly, and you glanced over your shoulder to find Wanda looking sheepish in the doorway.
"Hey," you started, offering her a small smile as she came further into the kitchen, hovering on the other side of the central island.
"Hey."
Your smile faded slightly, and you allowed your attention to focus fully on the woman in front of you, the dinner going forgotten on the stove. "What's wrong?"
Wanda opened her mouth as though she was about to answer, but quickly thought better of it, shrugging slightly. "Nothing." You waited for a moment, biting down on the inside of your cheek in an attempt to stop yourself from breaking the silence. "I was just thinking," she started again. "I was wondering what we are."
Your smile came back as her words registered, and a short chuckle bubbled out of you. "I don't know about you-," you murmured. "- But, I've been referring to you as my girlfriend for weeks now."
"Oh-"
You gave a small shrug. "For me, it's all about you-" You paused for a moment, shaking your head. "It's always been about you," you added, watching as a smile blossomed on her lips.
Wanda quickly moved around the work surface, wrapping her arms around you and pulling you into a tight hug. "You make life worthwhile," she whispered softly, pressing a soft kiss to the crook of your neck. "I am so in love with you."
The words made your chest tighten, your heart beating at a hundred miles a minute, as you pulled away to press a proper kiss to her lips. "I love you too," you uttered, nudging her nose with yours as you let out a soft chuckle. "I am like stupid in love with you," you added, your smile only spreading when she laughed along with you.
