(Marco POV)
Marco was in the backyard by himself, watching the party. He didn't know whether or not he was ready to face Aster again...
Atleast until Jackie snuck up on him.
"Hey, what are we doing?" - JL
She asked as Marco got startled for a second.
"Oh, nothing really. I'm just uh...thinking about stuff..." - M
"Stuff?" - JL
Marco nodded.
"Marco, it's the end of the year. We don't have to think or worry about anything! The only thing that matters right now is you, me, and what we're doing this summer. Now, what am I thinking?" - JL
"....uhhhh..." - M
He stared at her blankly.
"Come on, read my mind." - JL
She said, encouraging him to guess.
"...a kiss?" - M
He suggested.
"No, but close! I wanted you to feed me pizza nuggets. But atleast it was a good first shot." - JL
She kissed his cheek, making him blush.
"Not go get those nuggets, Diaz." - JL
She said before heading back inside, leaving behind a much happier Marco. He went inside not long after and sat in the kitchen, waiting for his dad to finish making the pizza nuggets while he sat and waited with a smug smile.
"You're in a good mood." - Rafael
"Huh? Oh, yeah, I guess so." - M
"Where's your partner in crime?" - Rafael
"Jackie? Huh...I guess we really are good partners, aren't we?" - M
"Aster. I was talking about Aster." - Rafael
"Oh." - M
"Jackie is nice, but she's no criminal. Aster, however, now that's a criminal. Actually, now that I think about it, I haven't seen any portals or explosions in a while...is he okay?" - Rafael
He asked as Marco's mood started to return to being more gloomy.
"Things between me and Aster are a little...weird." - M
He shifted uncomfortably.
"What could possibly be weird between you two? You two are thick as thieves! You're almost always around each other, and-!...oh. I get it now...well, if things between you aren't the way they should be, it's probably best you try to talk it out. Doesn't this help you feel better?" - Rafael
"Yeah, actually..." - M
"Good! Now go!" - Rafael
He encouraged as Marco left the kitchen with a newfound determination.

Aster finally returned to the party and saw Jackie and Marco throwing food into each other's mouths. Despite how uncomfortable he felt seeing them together, he knew he had to do this. He had to fix what he broke.
"Hey, Marco, can we...?" - A
"Talk? Yeah, for sure." - M
He excused himself from Jackie so the two could chat. They were both nervous but knew this had to be done. They sat on the staircase where it was a bit more quiet.
"Look, I'm sorry about...Song Day...I've been avoiding you..." - A
"Yeah, me too..." - M
"I just...I got scared that you wouldn't want to be friends anymore, and everything would change, and I'd lose you..." - A
