Why Are You Here?

Aster, Tom, Marcos and Kelly were at Lava Lake Beach in the Underworld. They were peacefully making s'mores in the black sand while demons and skeletons played in the lava.

"Maaan, I haven't been to the Underworld in forever." - A

He said while roasting a marshmallow over the campfire Tom lit for them.

"Why's that?" - M

"When me and Tom broke up, we just decided it was better to avoid each other. I stay outta the Underworld, he stays away from the Butterfly Kingdom. But now we're cool." - A

Marco nodded before frowning as he noticed he overcooked his marshmallow.

"Here, let me help you." - A

He scooted over to be next to Marco. He put one of his hands over Marco's marshmallow and began to use magic to turn it from charcoal black to a golden brown.

"Wow, since when have you been able to do that?" - M

He asked in amazement.

"I've been able to do a lot of things since I died." - A

"Wait what?" - T

He asked in confusion, but got cut off by Kelly.

"You guys excited for the SoulRise?" - K

"Oh, yeah. And I got us the best spot." - T

He got interrupted again. This time by a pair of demons. One of which was large with very light purple-grey skin, three eyes, pointy ears, and a little bit of purple hair on his head.

"Hey! That's our spot!" - Demon

"Don't see your name on it." - T

"Hey Well, if you won't give it up, there's only one way to settle this..." - Demon

Aster sighed as he, Tom, and Kelly got up. Aster stretched, as if preparing for battle.

"W-wait, we're not actually going to fight these guys, right?" - M

He'd taken down monsters before. But a demon? He'd seen what Tom was capable of...

The demon punched the sand and pulled out a skeleton, and tore its skull off. He then ignited it with purple flames and threw it in the air. He let it fall before slapping it right at the group.

And so began the Underworld's version of volleyball. The flames of the skull didn't hurt at all, to Marco's surprise. Though Kelly seemed...distracted. Kelly eventually left the game and Aster left to check on her.

It took him a couple of minutes but he eventually found her standing by herself on a more empty part of the beach, just staring at the lava. Aster approached her.

"Hey. Everything okay?" - A

"Mm...no...Tad and I...broke up..." - K

She admitted, which Aster figured must've been hard for her. It took Aster weeks to tell his parents after he and Tom broke up.

"I'm sorry. Do you...want someone to talk to?" - A

She nodded.

"Me and Tad...we always get back together, but this...this is very much the end." - K

Aster nodded.

"I get it. It can be hard to close a chapter in your life. Maybe you thought you and Tad would be together forever. It's gonna take time to accept that's not the case-" - A

He got cut off as some kind of giant monster dog shoved Aster aside, causing him to go crashing into the black sands
