Aster was on Mewni, in his bedroom. He was trying to call Tom. He'd felt pretty bad for ghosting him. Which, in his defense, he didn't do on purpose. He was just recovering from being burned. But when he called, it went straight to voicemail.
"Hey! Sorry I disappeared for a while. I was uh, doing some stuff...let's meet up, and I'll tell you all about it. Maybe we can even go for that slushie I told you about. So yeah...call me back!" - A
He hung up and noticed Eternity and Glossaryck fighting over a bag of chips.
"Globgor! Globgooor!" - Glossaryck
"Hand it over! I wish to experience eating!" - Eternity
Aster used his magic to duplicate the bag so they could share.
"Thank you. Also, your friend is here." - Eternity
He said as he began trying to figure out how to open the bag. There was a knock on his bedroom door and Aster walked over to open it.
"Oh, hey, Pony. Whats up?" - A
He asked before noticing how sweaty and nervous she looked.
"You uh...just come from the gym or...?" - A
"Oh, haha! Nothing! I just wanted to check in, definitely didn't run into Tom or anything! Haha!" - Pon
She said nervously as she came in.
"...you are a terrible liar." - A
He said with a deadpan look.
"Tom is getting a demoncism and he told me not to tell you!" - Pony
Aster gasped.
"...what the fuck is a demoncism again?" - A
He asked for a reminder.
"I gotta go!" - P
She tried to run out but Aster caught her with Levitato.
"Okay! Okay!" - P
She spilled the beans. As it turns out, a demoncism is a sort of purification process for the soul, which also happened to be extremely painful. It removes the good and the bad, and leaves only the good.
Which Aster thought was stupid for Tom to do. He appreciated the effort, he did. But Tom had proved he wanted to change twice now. Getting this procedure was just cheating his way to the finish line.
"It's fine! My ex got one." - P
"...am I supposed to know who you're talking about?" - A
"Ugh, the one who wrote a song about me?" - P
Aster just stared at her.
"Seahorse!" - P
"...ohhh, yeah, that guy had some serious issues..." - A
He said, vaguely recalling the floating purple seahorse that was fueled with absolute rage. He had no idea how Pony managed to date him...
"Yeah! You know what, we're gonna visit him! And then you'll see it's all fine!" - P
"No, it's okay, we don't have to-" - A
Pony used her horn to pick him up and throw Aster on her back before jumping out of the window, leaving Eternity and Glossaryck behind.
"...want to play cards?" - Eternity
He asked Glossaryck, who just stared at him.
"...why do I even bother." - Eternity

Aster and Pony arrived at a store, Reflecticore, where Seahorse was now working as a customer service representative.
